I got a good deal for a tanto with boomslang lenses and I was wondering how a iris would effect it. Thanks you bc it's a very specific product. I was considering using an iris for coping for my lack of manual gain.

Lol so glad I didnt have to pay Tarsiers ridiculous price for their eclipse Plus theirs is a friction fit rubber cap that fits like the rubber pinhole cover Prefer the Amazon version that threads in, they also offer an iris that a camera style lens cap will snap on to Im not too sure about the size of the iris opening during the day, I have been very cautious and swap the iris for the pinhole cap or make sure I put the pvs14 in a pouch before the sun gets up too high

@@IndependentArmz I started with some shit gen 2's years ago. Trying to desperately to make NVG in my price range. Wasn't worth it. Next time I went full ausist and spent car money on some of the very early bino units with two nice gen 3 tubes. This was 5-6 years ago. That wasn't worth it because I had SO much money tied up in them. I was pissed it wasn't always night time. Now I'm at baby bears PVS-14 and it is 'just right'. I can operate at night and keep my daily driver running lol

I added an iris a few months back. Pretty cool upgrade. You can purge the unit with a scuba tank and toss on the sac cap to help alleviate fogging.
@LFAnon4 сағат бұрын
@@syntaxerrorsix3137 I don't think I'd trust any of these objective threads to be air tight. Thus I wouldn't even bother with the purge for a sac lens. If it gets ugly take it off!

Regarding the packing of your sleep system / clothes, why not just get a larger pack for the colder seasons? Aren't you concerned about being able to tear down your sleeping area quickly in the event of taking contact? Or is your plan to simply grab the essential gear and ditch the rest?
@LFAnon10 сағат бұрын
Why would I get a larger ruck when I can obviously fit everything I need in this ruck? This is the same method I follow to pack summer weight items, it only takes second longer with heavier stuff, and you can do it much faster than folding or rolling. And yeah. If I take hard contact at the same location I chose to sleep. Don't worry about any of this shit and just win the fight, or run away bravely. Get new shit later.
@savagesapper42608 сағат бұрын
@LFAnon All fair points. I was mentioning a larger ruck for ease of packing. Granted, you took more time to pack since you were demonstrating how you do it. I'm sure heat of the moment, and with practice, repacking everything would go faster. My own personal preference would have a slightly larger ruck that would allow me to throw everything into it, at random, and just move - no stuffing or finessing required.

by definition, no such thing as a "free citizen" free subject of politians.. "free civilian" makes more sense even though it would likely not last long as anyone providing goods or services without getting robbed or accepting stolen wealth as payment would quickly end up in a cage.

Honestly i was homeless in utah in -17 dgerees and feet of snow with only a 5 dollar hoodie, and a 5 dollar throw blanket. It was absolutely fucked and i probably SHOULD'VE died. But didnt🤣. Years since, ive figured out with just a wool shirt, i can go out and still be sweating around 40 degrees. If i got a t-shirt, 5-10 degrees colder. Or if i got on a sweater, im good down to 20. I have snow jackets but die wearing them unless its well below 20. That being said, ive also lived in 29 palms. So 120 degrees every day isnt shit to me either. Weaponized seatbelts arent shit. Keep a hanky you can wet, so you can open your car and put on a seatbelt without getting new scars🤣🤣.

I'll throw out the addition of "light mechanized infantry" for those spread out further/in open terrain. Essentially areas where you can use a subaru outback or better to get from A to B and then go the rest on foot. The concept also works for urban places using parking lots/garages as B, tailored attire for both obviously.
