swallow is popular in trinidad and new york as he is in antigua. chalkdust referred to him in a song saying "swallow does sing in spectakula that is carifesta". swallow introduced us to many trinidad calypsoes by bringing back videos from trinidad for us to enjoy in antigua. we miss him dearly.

most of the songs on my channel are from twenty thirty years ago when the technology to balance the voice with the music and have a clear video was not perfect. now to transfer these song from vhs tapes to digital you can lose much of the video quality. if you search for zero in my channel or on youtube, i have already uploaded "protect yourself 2002, everybody vex 1996, i am sorry 2002, ship of state, tribute to sir vere 1999 with solo and national treasure2000. so enjoy and stay tuned for more zero songs coming soon.

While the song is from 2004, this performance was at a more recent time, probably a show and not a competition. In 2004, she was dressed in white and had on a diaper.

From the album The Honey 🐝🍯In Kitch (1991). It was advertised on Alvin Daniell's show Calypso Showcase (1992). Lord Kitchener (1922-2000) unfortunately in Trinidad even Soca nowadays is not worth it- with a few exceptions. Your genius is seriously missed Sir. Kaiso is non existent & I believe now even hip-hop & rap is making a splash in Trinidad. The culture has changed once more (not for better I will say). This type of storytelling is gone.

very well said. i have noticed that some islands are teaching calypso, steelband and calypso composing in schools. hopefully, this is just a decline in calypso and not the death for the music i like and grew up with.
