Murry was an abusive father, but if he had better self-control he could have been useful when the band needed a strong hand in the later years. I don't think Charlie Manson would have gotten a chance to mess up Dennis if Murray was around at that point, and the same goes for the leeches who hung around Brian.

Too bad traderfiles didn't include the song "Hawaii". Brian's falsetto REALLY shines in that song. :)

This has been one of my BB favourite since 1991 when I was 11 and got my first collection album. ❤ and lots of good vibrations from Sweden.

This was Brian's shining moment, musically, physically, emotionally. New father to three little ones and newfound confidence. He looks and sounds beautiful. I'm glad he was able to get to this point after decades of being kicked down.

Listen close - at 1:40 this song switches from Jakob and Jade to the original Mamas and Papas version..... I really think that the cover was wonderful and Jade did great - I particularly loved the way she does the line "don't foll-ow" - in the original the note in second syllable of "follow" goes up a semi-tone - in Jades version she drops the "-ow" down a semi-tone and the effect is completley unexpected, unusual and to my ears brilliant. But as much as I love Jade - I have to say that the star of this song and the entire documentary ("echo in the canyon") is Jakob - the guy is totally coooool as ice - much cooler than his pretentious dad imho. He's just a class act through and through! Bravo Jakob for bringing us this treasure!

Sometimes, whilst listening to this song, I have wished to return, even if only for an hour or two, to those days of youth. They were Great, and being an old man now, I only have memories of them.

Was more into punk and new wave, rather than disco, but loved this at the time and taped it from the radio. What's not to like - great lyrics, great harmonies, great music.

One of the greatest tune , with Good Vibrations, Do it again, of this greatest group among others. As I mentioned in other previous comments the remix extended versions of the Boys are often the best, and much enjoyable due to the research of the highest quality of sounds, harmony, melody and thus composition. Beach Boys = standard of the highest quality in music many decades after, and to come. Thanks so much to you great Boys of the Beach.
