I've never heard of AnimeFox before. The only major streaming apps I'm aware of for anime are Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, and Netflix. The only one of those to air Precure would be Netflix but obviously as Glitter Force.

Unfortunately the DX version is now discontinued. We are trying to get in the regular edition along with the set of the Animal Sweets but they have been on backorder with the distributor since Bandai has yet to ship them more. Unfortunately Bandai always replenishes physical store shelves in Japan before they restock online distributors so they must be selling like crazy in Japan.

Madeline Greathouse I was able to buy mine from Buyee just now. I paid for the pact with the single and then on the side it had the set included. It was $42 and then with tax I ended up paying $51. I only use Buyee as my main deputy service when I am buying from Japan because after they receive the item at their warehouse, they give you a month for free to pay for the rest of the shipping without restricting you from bidding on other things you want the shipping is usually $20-$30. You get to bid on most of the Yahoo auctions yourself and no credits are needed. The auction I got was the "buy it now" price and most of the pacts are around that price.

Yes the original anime aired in Japan as Smile Precure, part of the long running Precure series. Saban licensed it and Americanized it for English audiences.

valerie m. Unfortunately other than Beat and Echo we have not been able to sell these on our website because Bandai has made them web exclusives. We are also paying the mark-up when we buy these just to do the review and to have one for my personal collection. The way it works is they are placed for pre-order on the Bandai Premium website, and once the pre-order period ends they only print that many units and ship them out on release date to those who ordered. They refuse to ship outside of Japan and are aware of forwarding services like Tenso and will not ship to those either. The only way to buy them is to actually have a person in Japan buy it for you and charge you a mark-up. It certainly costs less to pay someone to pre-order the figure for you vs buying one after it's already been released because at that point they are scarce with only so many units in existence.

oh yikes!! 😬 i had no idea that's how they were releasing the precure figuarts. has bandai said at all why they've chosen to go this route as opposed to a standard release? oh well...time to really start saving up, i guess...

I think unfortunately the reason is they weren't selling as many units in stores as they were hoping but wanted to still offer them so they just did it by pre-order only to avoid having excess units sitting on shelves. They just announced Cure Bloom with Michiru a few days ago and it ended up costing me about $140 USD including shipping. They can definitely get expensive.

Pokelover92 We had planned on doing the review but with a large portion of the fanbase outside of Japan seeming to rank Mahou Tsukai Precure as the worst series, and the amount of time it would take to review the item due to it having the 12 mini games, it fell to a lower priority. We may still do it eventually though.

All of the new ones have only been sold on the Bandai Premium website which only ships to Japanese addresses. You pretty much need to know someone who is in Japan who receive the package once released, and then ship to you which ends up getting pricey. It usually ends up costing around $80 a piece for them in the end. If they ever open them up to retail again, we would certainly stock them in our store. We had been able to get in Cure Echo and Cure Beat a while back, but that was all we ever had in stock unfortunately.

We used to be able to offer them on our website otakuhenshin.com, however, in more recent years they have made it so that all the Precure S.H.Figuarts are Bandai Premium Website exclusive. They refuse to ship outside of Japan, and they even will not ship to forwarding companies within Japan. The only way to really get them is by paying someone to buy them for you and then having them ship them to you after they receive them, or buying through through Yahoo Aucitons, which again usually requires help from someone in Japan unless you are fluent in Japanese. I usually end up paying $80 or more for them each having to go through another company to buy them. I'm hoping with the Splash Star ones that were announced that since they announced 4 at once, it might be possible for at least 2 of them to finally be available for retail, in which case would would certainly stock them.

Yeah. Once those are officially announced I will be sure to get them in to review. I'm hoping with there being 4 being shown at the same time that it might mean we could see retail releases for at least two of them. If that happens we will be sure to carry them in our online store. We have Cure Ace also just recently announced that I did order one in for myself from the Bandai Premium website.

I wasn't as big of a fan of Hanayo initially but after my second watching of the original anime she certainly grew on me a lot more and is now much higher on my list.
