Thank you so much for sharing this amazing show! How it must have been to actually be there. This is the best live show footage I have ever seen of Johnny Cash, but to have actually been there? Brilliant 😎 I wish so much this had been released out on dvd with tons of extra footage special features. Thanks again! Best version on KZbin for sure 👍

Thanks for your kind words! It sure was a special time in my life. I hope someday they'll put this out with a bunch of extras as well! I mean, someone put a lot of time into recording and mixing it, so... I'm sure it would sell well. Wonder who owns the rights? Cheers...

I think it’s absolutely nuts how you can click on any legacy band’s past shows and there’s not a single criticism. STP were sluggish, slow, and disjointed here. A terrible performance for them, I could not believe it. Are people just that sensitive to criticism or are they just plain deaf?

Just what a fuking tradgedy. Someone so disillusioned and messed up yet so incrediably talented . I mean he spoke too for a generation. He could have had everything. And he literally wasted away. Just a tradgedy

Rock had begun to die. The 90s were over. Scott knew it. He gave his life for this shit. RIP. I liked that they started doing "Meatplow" slower and in a more grinding style.
@AaronClow24 күн бұрын
I remember around the early '90s sitting in my office and hearing them play Interstate Love Song on the Howard Stern show and they did it in that same slower, grinding style. That was the first time I heard them and was like "whoa!" It sounded so powerful. Haven't been able to locate that show, but it was a killer performance.

@@AaronClow I have an old FLAC recording of this show I got from a torrent. It's familiar because on the recording Scott is asking where the rock and roll is. I swear the lock-in of both DeLeos and Kretz on this grooving tune is outstanding, my man.
@AaronClow24 күн бұрын
@@ShadesOClarity They're a force for sure. I loved Army of Anyone (sans Kretz), and the later STP stuff, but listening to those other combos, even though they're solid, there's no denying that Scott was the magic pixie dust here. Cheers.

@@AaronClow That final eponymous record was horribly underrated. I thought it was four and a half stars out of five. So much Bowie/Mott The Hoople/Beatles sounds on there. Fantastic.
@ShadesOClarity24 күн бұрын
@@AaronClow Yeah. I don't know why I am getting back into them so hard. This is a really good performance of a band at the pinnacle of their career. Where is the rock and roll? Where is it?

A great name for a band, thanks to the brilliant mind of the iconic, incredible Syd Barrett. Gigolo Aunt, taken from his second solo album, Barrett. Syd was a really great artist. Arnold Layne, he wrote about 90 percent of the classic debut Pink Floyd album Piper At The Gates of Dawn, also See Emily Play. He also made 2 great solo albums, Madcap Laughs, which is like Syd Barrett unplugged, and Barrett, which thanks to Richard Wright's organ sound a bit like what the follow up to Piper might have sounded if Syd had of taken more time on it and still had the same mind set he had when he was making Piper or See Emily Play. Shine On Syd
