In the first minute or so of “Straight” Louise switches mics and finds the volume is too low. While she looks at the board person, her guitar plug has some kind of malfunction that a tech ran over to handle. Louise don’t give no shits and plows forward.

I used to have this VCR cassette tape! Had Out of the Blue on video too, and all the CDs. Too bad my parents dumped it when they remodeled. Will always be one of my favorites and she was the inspiration for me to pick up piano again. All the best to you Debbie.

They don’t make frontmen like this anymore! I’ve seen them only 3 times unfortunately but till this day one of the most important bands to me ! Dean is a very underrated guitarist and his brother wrote so many of theirs tunes on guitar. Drugs SUCK!!!! We lost Scott way too young ! S T P forever 🎉

I always go back to that Velvet Revolver piece about finding a lead singer. They show the inside view and there were thousands of tapes sent in and they picked the best of the best to come rehearse. At the end not one was close. They then show Scott come in cold and it’s incredible the difference. When they say these leads are one in a million talent wise it’s the truth.

One of two bands from the 1990's🎸 (unfortunely the decade that I was raised in), that I'm now starting to appreciate (other is The Offspring). Having two girls play the guitar made a man of that time declare 'Holy shit, they play that instrument like guys!'☺.

I remember years ago hearing them do "Interstate Love Song" on Stern, maybe around 1992 or so, and it was slowed down a bit, but it sounded so much meaner that way when the guitar kicked in after the intro. I kinda loved it. Wish I could locate that performance.

Nina gets so pissy with the audience! It's hilarious! Look, it's really early and they haven't had much beer yet. Bad scheduling is all.
Great to see this video. I have a copy of the audio CD from Trump Marina this same year, 3 months later.

I watched this when it premiered on CBS, and I've been a fan of it ever since. Actually, I can see the Blu-ray of it in my bookcase as I type this.

That was my first viewing - all those years ago. Recently grabbed the Psycho Collection 4K boxed set. I seriously need to re-watch all of these. Would it be heresy to say I liked II the best? :)

all these years I thought their name was , veruc assault,..was like wow what a cool name for a band , till my girlfriend said, no you idiot, it's veruca salt! I'm like , ok ,..um what the hell is a veruca salt? 🤔 think she said it's a wart on your foot or something

This stands alone as one of the better music documentaries, even though few people saw it. Some of the versions are better than the originals. Thanks for posting.
@AaronClowАй бұрын
Definitely. I saw this at the premiere, and Brian Wilson played a few songs. It's still one of my favorite memories from my music biz days. And I agree - I actually prefer *most* of these over the originals. Just a note - the first time I posted this many years ago in lower quality, I got a takedown notice. Not sure why they didn't take this one down. Hopefully it stays up, or I hope whoever owns the rights releases a Blu-Ray at some point. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
