also there is a "Parade" perk in the Charm skill tree (225 if im not mistaken) which adds +5 dayly loyalty to the settlement you are currently staying in

In addition to provided tips you can alos increase security which will help you to increase loyalty. Prefer top tear units since they prodides more security consuming same amount of food as low tear units

cancel all constructions when you want that daily defaults become active. The constructions prevent this. Then look in the kingdoms laws, there are some which give you loyality for the cost of taxes. There are also good tutorials on YT how to manage citys. I got 3 towns who was completly broken, but now they slowly grow and make provit. It takes some time. Otherwise you can give the town to another lord in your kingdom

you can defend a settelment with odds like 2-1 or 3-1 or even 10-1 if you are good dont wait for armies for alot of time cuz they will take the settelment before you gather one

you need some companian of the same culture which is sturgia i think it will give you 1+ loyalty which will make this increase by .5 daily set in it till its at 50 and you are good make the securty high also helps alot resolve some issues from the nobles in the town all help

i usually just keep them quarantined while my cloaked science vessels do their thing. nobody is crazy enough to dive headfirst into the center of my territory just to snag an unoccupied system (especially when starbases built outside your empire territory cost so much more influence) so just end up quarantining the cute little toys for fun, they hardly give any research anyway and last time i checked there weren't any worthwhile relics attached to them in a quest line.

Mind over matter, synthetic evolution, engineered evolution and the flesh is weak are all very good ascension perks, i highly recommend you take one. if you're spiritualist i'd take Mind over matter and for anything else it depends on what you wanna do, engineered evolution is a bit micromanagy though.

Just saying but you can change the council agenda at the start of the game for "Evolving society agenda"(giving you a tiny boost to unlock the first tradition and then change it to "chart the unknown agenda"(after getting your first tradition - "Discovery") and then do harmony 2nd to overall boost your unity gain and boost the amount of unity you get to unlock more tradition faster Btw you can choose either "one vision" or "technological ascendancy" on ascension perk as the first 2 best options, if you are playing "WIDE"(getting as many systems as possible in your empire) then you can go with "Interstellar Dominion" to use less influence to build more starbases

Some mod have discourage planetary growth decision. It goves -90% pop assembly/growth modifier to a planet. If a planet nearing max capacity activation of this decision will slow the pop growth and slow the immigration. Another way is to construct ecumenopolis and put something lile transit hub on each of starbase orbiting the system with habitable world, it will automatically move pops if there is job available somewhere else. Don't forget to replace every pop growth/assembly related building in late game. If you have massive economic power change your living standard to at least above stratified living standard will lessen the crime and all negative buff due to unemployment, changing them to utopian will negate unemployment debuff. Dont sleep on habitat as well if you're playing wide don't forget to put transit hub in every starbase it will automatically sort that problem for you, construction of multiple ecumenopolis is important. Another way is to do migration pact with other empire, eventually your unemployed will move to other empire planet it increases emigration modifier. Build every planet to the max district available more jobs to go around. In game setting before the game start change the above limit growth to 2x or more.

Why do you capture inner systems rather than capturing in a line along choke points? You can effectively cut off entire sections of the map to the other factions then after your definitive borders are drawn up and solidified send a few science ships to auto survey starting from your home capital. I play on Huge with 12+ empires and commonly am able to section off at least a fourth of the galaxy to myself with some lucky faction placement along with Fallen Empires blocking AI paths. Not sure if you’re playing tall or wide tho so.

I like Kingdom of Nicaea series also because this period its the last chance of the Easter Roman Empire to rise up through all these difficulties after the distraction of the 4th Crusade

That was quite a silly defeat you should have destroyed all their catapults before going into the battle. It's probably even better to destroy the walls rather than send in seige towers. Playing as a Kuzhait it's a lot harder to seige instead of playing as any other faction...

Only 1k research? That's bad dude. You know jobs are important right? With a 700-800 empire size that's nothing. I'd have that betweem year 30-40 and I've onky got 30 hours in the game. You need to make jobs for people and make sure they're doing what you want them to. I hope this helps. All those red brief cases need attention 😄.
