Seems like it would be more inclined to bring dust and dirt into the air box, the stock design requires air to shift direction 180 degrees and that in itself should cause some fines to not make there way to the filter. I really wish the S&B particle separator's could fit on our machines.
@leterripadventures4 күн бұрын
I'm willing to find out. The oem design was not working well at all. was always getting water and debris in the air box. on my dune trip, I had a frigging sand box in there. I feel where the oem location was allows to much in the box, which is surprising. Not sure if how the water and debris comes of the tires was causing it or what So ,worth a shot, and I want the big tune. Not to mention the added frog skin on the large air intake shpuld help.

Good list of mods, the exhaust sounds so much better.
@leterripadventures7 күн бұрын
Simple upgrades combined with the tune really wakes the rig up. Like you stated, it sounds much better, and the Sport Exhaust isn't ridiculously loud when just crusin or normal trail riding.

Make sure the bov recirc plug in the j tube isn’t pushing on the wires for that mass airflow sensor. Mine rubbed through those wires and caused all sorts of problems.

I double-checked, but I noticed how close it was during intall and pushed the block off plug all the way in which gave me about an inch between the harness. Appreciate the comment. Hopefully, people will read the comments, and this prevents someone else's issue's on there own installation.

Just got back from Custer. First time out with the new Toy. The riding was great with very little sxs traffic in the hells Canyon area. That being said, I won’t wing it next time. I’ll use the maps before we go to plan for longer rides. Also, a lot of dust plan so have face covering so you’re not reading all that

I can respect 🙏 that comment. We take pride in having a small footprint due to the impact of the offroad industry. What you can't see is we were backed in where other rigs were prior for the same pics. This was actually a small parking area/slash turn-around. We pride ourselves on not tearing things up, repeating people's property, and always follow the rules and regulations. Don't ever want to be the guy that ruins it for everyone. We definitely have enough of that in the industry

That vent tube for the clutch has lots of outward air pressure…the design moves air out that tube the faster it spins to more air that moves out from what I can tell so as long as you stay on the gas should stay dry
@leterripadventures19 күн бұрын
@dbromano84 I noticed that as well. I've had those rigs in water as deep as that tube expecting water in the belt box, and it was dry. My big thing is I had a rock wind up going in the tube and wedged in the clutch. So, I have a kit coming from a new sponsor that allows all the required flow in and out. But it keeps the big chunks out. 💯

I ripped the front A arm mountings off a Polaris trail riding with my wife on the back, don't remember the model. I looked at the mounts for the A arms in the front that came off and they were made with sheet metal. BTW, neither person on the quad was even thrown off the force was so minimal. We welded it, reinforced it and the owner traded it in for a new one.

At the end were you doing pulls with the new ECU tune ? Did you get to run it with stage2 hardware without ECU tune VS stage2 hardware with tune? If so how much harder did it pull or not?
@leterripadventuresАй бұрын
@cavidz_moto I didn't get the chance to run it with just the hardware. Did everything at once. Compared to stock, it was much more responsive. Snappy, and you could definitely tell the difference. That and the exhaust added 👌 a crisp, clean sound that made it sound mean. If you ho the Bikeman route, I have a discount code leterrip. Save ya some money. As far as performance difference without the tune in my experience with other machines, xp turbos, it will wake it up a little. More flow more go. but the tune is where you will notice the biggest change
