I believe I asked previously and you responded, but for the life of me I can't find the answer. What modules do you use in Foundry? Also, it looks like you are hosting your own instance online. Are you doing this yourself, or using a web service with a subdomain for foundry? Thanks!
@happymonsterpress Жыл бұрын
I host on AWS, and use a subdomain of my regular website, happymonsterpress.com, for the Foundry URL. There's good tutorials out there on how to set that up, but it's a more expensive option than something like Forge. I use a LOT of modules, but the major ones right now are BetterRolls 2, Dice So Nice, Automated Animations, Combat Booster, Dice Tray, Easy Target, Pings, PopOut!, SWADE Immersion Module, SWADE Ultimate Condition Changer, and Universal Battlemap Importer.

Thanks! Savage Worlds works very well for multiple genres, as long as you're good with a relatively "cinematic" feel (although modifications for more grit are possible). Check out Legend of Ghost Mountain and Savage Pathfinder for two very different takes on fantasy, and Dead End, RIFTS, and The After for three very different post-apocalypses!

I love that you gave them a logic puzzle to solve in order to progress! Top notch! 👏 My DM once gave us a maze (everyone had one, same maze) and timed us. Every 30 seconds or so he would stop us and we would have an encounter until one of us finished the maze. I love creative ideas like that! Really loving this series! Also I'm glad I'm not the only one that knows about Low Life! A little known setting, but a fantastic one!

Credit where credit is due- the logic puzzle is in the Plot Point Campaign. The timing of letting them work on it between sessions was me, though.

I'm a new GM that stumbled across this while trying to find a good demo for SWADE combat and this was great in helping me figure out the flow of battles. I was going to use Roll20 for the VTT but Foundry looks like it works great as well. How much time did you have to spend setting it up for the rule set and macros?
@happymonsterpress3 жыл бұрын
The ruleset is baked in, and even more so if you invest the $10 to get the official SWADE module. Most of my macros are pretty simple-minded and are rapidly being replaced by Foundry modules like BetterRolls2. I'd strongly suggest the Foundry Discord for setup help - it's a super friendly bunch. discord.com/invite/foundryvtt
