Yes, that is very important information, we usually don´t think about these things untill it happens. I threw my back out a few years ago, it caused me to fall to the floor and I was not able to get up for hours due to the spasms. I live alone, so it was not fun. I make sure now I do back and core exercises, walk a lot and stretch to try to prevent this from happining again.

Good to know that you were not seriously hurt. Lots of very good advice. Don't leave things laying around on the floor, shoes etc. Great idea about the step ladder with handles. I'll be looking into that. Thank you.

Congratulations Rebecca and family!🎉 Wonderful news!🎉 My birthing experiences were similar to yours. I had two 9 lb babies in the early 90s. I was determined to have my babies naturally and breastfeed as seemed to be popular back then. I was thankful that my pregnancies were uneventful and the births were uncomplicated. It felt totally unnatural to lay on my back in bed while laboring so I got on my knees and held the headboard of the bed. In that position the contractions were more efficient and the labor short. I was amazed that I could breastfeed! I was amazed at how my body worked to carry and birth the babies. I am waiting to be a grandma. I am hoping it won't be too much longer as I am much older than my mom was when I had my kids. I try to keep active so that I will be able and available to help when needed. I can't wait!❤

Rebecca this is one of the only machines left on the market that still have the Temperature control that you must have for different strains and types of yogurt . The manufactures that took the adjustable Temperature control off their product screwed the pooch as far as I am concerned. I just was finally able to buy mine on Amazon as they only got it back in stock on 10-27-24. I cannot wait to get Dr. William Davis L.Reuteri Probiotic life saving yogurt made. Thanks for highlighting the best yogurt machine still available~! Kit

On the subject of going without hair color, I went natural about 5 years ago. No kidding, I get randome compliments almost every day about my hair, which grew in white-ish. Some tips: -you can get throught he first stage with root touch-up spray. When that no longer works, it is helpful if you can find a colorist who is willing to help you with the transition. Find this person before you start the process, so you're ready to roll when the time comes. Two visits did it for me, first visit she stripped as much color as she safely could, and added lowlights for balance. Second visit, she was able to remove the remaining color, -i'm a makeup artist, and here is my advice to clients who are concerned about looking washed out if they quit coloring their hair: Emphasize lips and brows. Find a makeup artist or brow specialist who can show you how to give your brows a nice shape and color. And don't be afraid to do the French thing and rock a beautiful lipstick. Yes, red can work for you if you find one that is compatible with your skin's undertones (blueish reds read "cool", orange--ish reds read "warm"). Emphasizing those 2 features animates the face. If you don't want to fuss with any more makeup, dab and bkend the lipstick color onto your cheeks. If you're timid at first about the intensity of the color, blot your lips on a tissue after applying, or alternatively pick up some of the color on your finger and tap it onto your lips. ☺

I am mid sixties. I have long blonde hair. I have been a blonde all of my life and see no reason to change that now. I get it trimmed at Great Clips twice a year. I color it myself. I have had women much younger than me tell me how beautiful it is. Among my friends, I am an anomaly. I have had pressure to cut it short, but I like my long, thick hair. I wear it up a lot so what's the difference? I, too, have been wearing less makeup. I do wear foundation lightly and mostly down the center of my face, avoiding any areas with lines. Skin care is so important but doesn't have to be expensive. I use Cerave cleanser and moisturizer, and also gentle exfoliation once a week and using a facial razor 2 times a month keeps my skin glowing. Also I carry my facial skincare down my neck and onto my chest area. Currently I am trying to find my fashion style. I like the new, fuller pant leg that's popular now. I need to be more comfortable in my own (older) body. If the clothes aren't comfortable I won't wear them. Finding a proper fitting bra for me has been a huge challenge. You have some great ideas here. 👍

I have been using a probiotic I was given to try so I can't really say which one is better. It depends on your goals and what is going on with your gut. For instance, there are some probiotics that are recommended for weight loss. I haven't tryed making vanilla yogurt but I'm sure you can add a little vanilla to the mix. The instruction that come with the yogurt maker have some recipes you can try.

I think it is just a matter of preference. My mother never wore makeup when she was home. When she went out, she would put on some face powder, a little bit of rouge, and lipstick. She never bothered with mascara. She said she tried but it went all over the place. When I learned to put on makeup, I went straight for the mascara but never bothered with lipstick. Just like my mother I never wear makeup when I am home. But, when I go out I do wear light makeup which includes mascara and lipstick. I feel it brightens up my face. I am very fair skinned and look like a ghost if I don't wear makeup.

I am giving up mascara. I am a yoga teacher, and no mascara can resist a hot yoga class. Plus, I find more and more that it often looks cakey, clumpy, and fake. I am gonna get them dyed instead, no more mascara. As for my eyebrows, a makeup artist once told me that seeing people with full makeup on but pale, undefined eyebrows was a huge pet peeve. "If you only have time for one thing in the morning, let it be your eyebrows. You can skip pretty much everything, but not the brows", she told me.
