It is a flawed system for sure….but there isn’t a better way..local clubs need to do a better jobs of regulating their members thru a handicap committee..

Couldn’t agree more! If you listen to all of my stuff, at no time have I said get rid of handicaps. People are too soft….I just want clubs to call guys out. Too often it’s left on the pro who is afraid to get fired, or a tournament chair who’s afraid to offend a friend.

Cheating all over golf. PIsses me off to go to a scramble tourney and see a group on the driving range hacking at the ground and then seeing that same group somehow shooting 19 under.
@quinnready29365 ай бұрын
We have the same problem in table tennis. People sandbag their rating and play in divisions lower than they should. There was even a guy who claimed to be basically a novice who made it to the semifinals of the national championship a few years ago. Screw cheaters
@callin_in_favors_pod5 ай бұрын
It’s everywhere in every sport with handicapping. Bowling too. It sucks, and unfortunately people are too PC to call them on it. I’m just trying to get the discussion going. The more people speaking up, the harder is is to cheat. CALL THEM BY NAME!

It might not be content but it got you to stop and comment. More comments equals more views. @@callin_in_favors_pod so if I score say 13 over par average every single time I go golfing, I am not magically gonna play scratch in a tournament. The only time this can be abused is if someone lies about their handicap. Otherwise, you just got beat. His scoring average is higher than yours and he scored better than you it’s simple. You can cry and whine for another 30 years. No one cares.

Then don’t play in the tournaments. The GHIN handicap is subjective as hell anyway. Try using a different scoring system like the stableford system that adjusts after each round.

Your right the south coast needs a good range with good balls and a good fitter like yourself . When they roll back the ball fitting is going to be more important than ever .

I’ve been saying this for 10-15 years. Even looked into the land at the old Drive In on rt 6 in Fairhaven. When I had money guys I couldn’t find land, when there was land and opportunities I didn’t have access to money guys. It not a remeber when, either. It’s never was. There has never been a good range with true golf conditions on the South Coast.

@TheWedgeWizard Жыл бұрын
Early extension wasn’t the issue there, your take away is all all arms, no upper body turn and you roll it wide open then have to flip it closed to compensate leading to inconsistency because you’re relying on absolute perfect timing of the flip.
@NickMart1985 Жыл бұрын
Several inside takeaway while rolling the hand over. Use your hands to keep the club face square and reduce the inside takeaway and the body will respond accordingly. This is a subconscious goat hump because that takeaway is awful.

Get yourself a hitting net. I use my hitting net in my backyard to work on my golf swing. At the range , by the 3 ball Im more concerned on the direction of the ball. ( now, all of us been there.) How I got better was thing butt cheeks.. LOL but its true. Push the butt cheek on your backswing then push the other cheek on the down swing.. There are videos out there. Good Luck My Friend.

That's similar to stack and tilt philosophy. I tend to get ahead of the ball and getting the club stuck behind me when I get my weight left too early. I try to feel my weight following the club.
