Once you move from a startup to a fully-fledged company with a lot of rules to follow and customers to satisfy, it is very hard to stay within the founder's mentality even if you want to. Great ideas but not much practical for a big company. I saw this change when we acquire small start-ups, most heroes are already gone by the second year, the customer's flexibility would be already gone that they were tolerating for a start-up.
