Went from 97-2001, maybe a year in there missed cos of mad cow disease across the country. The best bike show I've been to, Lotsa laughs, great vibe, no agro heaps to see and do and everyone was there for the same reason,drink piss and have fun. The HA put on a great bike show, kudo's to them 👍

Great video. I was there helping out on the mag stall. The following year I turned up on my first road legal bike. A zr50 chop. Great days full of fun and living the dream.

@@karrierkarrier9266 did you know a guy call Ricky. He was the black country rep in the late 80s. He did that one brum demo or anti helmet rally that changed rout halfway to Birmingham city center.

We were there too. Brilliant weekend. Can’t remember if it was this one or 88 when the DT’s played Saturday afternoon in the rain & absolutely nailed it. One of the best live gigs ever.

Ski Sunday was a masterpiece of TV. I managed to enjoy watching it regularly despite having no interest in skiing. That takes some doing.

@EarlGreyIII Ski Sunday It's one of many theme tunes the BBC producedin the 60s and 70s for programs featuring football, cricket, snooker, tennis and various other sports . (The Brits love their sports). Obviously given the title it was made for the one dedicated to skiing.

You mean the bit on the organ counter melody? The quavers under the main theme? If so, that's not flat at all. It's only as flat as the instrument it was played on. The organ has a dull tuning compared with the bright tuning of the rest of the orchestra. In actual fact, the timpani are far worse than the organ, but both are still tuned correctly. No flat notes.

As a kid I was always mystified why this theme was put out with that horribly (and obviously) flat counter melody, I still am. It kicks in around 7 seconds from the beginning and repeats throughout. YUCH!!
