the uncle at 2:02 he walks a great distance everyday to sell the drinks. Usually see him at different part of the city when I travel around. he has been selling it since I can remember -- our family often buy from him when he walks pass our house. it's so heartwarming to see him in your video.

First of all I just want to say that I am Cambodian living in California most my life. Ok let me just get this off my chest because I am watching this video right about now. Those rich ass high horse are full of power, money, corruption at its finest that's why they're acting like that towards all tourists. They're hiding something that's why they don't want you to film. When they tell you not to do it anyway. Expose all of them and their stupid leader that they're working for. Those poor khmer people are powerless and voiceless. The rich stripped their lands and sell it to the Chinese to build high rise etc. It's sad that we can't do much to change anything even all the protests we did out here in USA, Australia and many other countries to exposed them but nothing has change. Each year things get worse for the poor. Those Chinese and Vietnamese did no good for the poor people of Cambodia but making it even more worse. Cambodia is the #1 corruption on earth. The pm and his family they only pocket the $$ from every source they get it from.

Just came back from Phnom Penh few weeks ago as a tourist.Totally agree your point from the video.Combodia still has a long way to go as a developing country.Compare to other southeast country like Thailand and Malaysia, people are struggling for their life. The city view might becomes fancy and modern, yet daily item’s price is extremely high for local residents.

I left the country back in 1979 after I had to live through the genocide under Pol Pot killing madness. Most of my family members did not survive as we were forced to move out of the Phnom Penh City in 1975 to work in the rice fields and to dig cannals. My first return trip was in 1995 when the country first opene up to the world to search for my surviving family members. I've returned to visit my sole surviving sister every year for the last ten years since my retirement from US to heal the past. It's very safe to visit Cambodia now as the country has come a long way since the prolonged civil war was officially ended in 1998. Be mindful of your surroundings . Be kind whenever possible. It's always possible as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Happy and safe travels from a genocide survivor ✌️

O-Russey aka Creek-Bsmboo in local name. Olympic Market is also about 10 minutes away and it's a bit newer than this one. Russian Market is a well known market where the low budget travelers are staying. If you have time, check them out. Enjoy your day from a genocide survivor!
