I am a male and I have just started a book club. All my members are female however, and I am not trying to get with any of them except my fiance. Quite plainly, do not know many other males that read.

I am starting a book 📕 club this week with my mom and nieces. We plan on reading gone with the wind a chapter a week. I found your ideas helpful and if it goes well I may suggest a monthly whole book 📖 club

This story was amazing and clearly wasn't meant for you if "was too much" so why would you think anyone cares about how you feel about it if you yourself said the things you said. What a dumb way to present something and hope for success 😂

There is something you get from Disney that you don't see so much in Miyazaki, and that's how it feels to be an outsider longing to be accepted. From Dumbo to Beauty & the Beast to Hercules, Hunchback and Mulan, those movies express a very big pain that a lot of people out there struggle with, and as genius as Miyazaki's movies are, I don't think he considers that perspective very much. Songs like "Part of Your World" and "Reflection" express our pain in ways that the Ghibli movies don't.

I first started watching this series in middle school, I believe in 2015. Your personalities and Brandon’s world pulled me in and gave me a great big hug when I needed it most. I got all caught up to the most recent upload at the time, then fell off while waiting for the next episode. I tried restarting a few more times but never managed to make it all the way through until now. The ending being anticlimactic didn’t bother me too much, maybe life stuff just got in the way, and hey, we killed a dragon for our big sendoff! Then I looked into everything that’s been happening on the channel recently and the rabbit hole has me feeling intense existential sorrow… that’s the best way I’ve been able to put it anyway. Hearing about Mark’s surgeries, the (understandable) dwindling of uploads, my inability to check in on how the other members of the cast are doing, (Granted, I only did about an hour of digging on probably inactive twitter accounts, and my eyes were very watery and blurry the whole time so I may have missed something) it made this normally very comforting show suddenly feel very real. To say this night has been emotional for me would be an understatement. I truly feel like I’m mourning the loss of a friend, and while I can’t identify who exactly that friend was, all I know is I missed their final words. Like I just realized it’s been years since I talked to someone I once thought of as my best friend, only to realize they’ve passed away. So here I am on Christmas Eve, bawling my eyes out from everything I’m feeling all at once. I’m hoping getting all of my feelings out here might help me feel better, but the cause of this anguish is extremely hard for me to wrap my head around. So there you go, that’s how a goofy little DnD KZbin series made me cry. I wish nothing but the best for everyone involved. You’ve inspired and helped me more than you can know. Happy Holidays from 2023.

"i wouldnt to bring in skill checks early so they know they can accomplish their goal without straight up combat" then why didnt you have them do it in Scene 1 before the combat? an insight check would have prevented combat...

The entire Planescape is home to Powers/Deities.and the bird had to chirp off and mock Jesus? Flying spaghettis monster quips....why alienate Christians that enjoy this game....Running a Planescape campaign soon and now, though I truly wanted to, I cant prep anyone in my family with what could have been a great group. ....Bad form.

I watched this whole series over about 6 weeks. Loved the whole thing. I know it would have continued had the pandemic not occurred. I'm sure everyone has gone their own ways by now. Would be nice, if possible, to get everyone back together for one last session to let us know how the characters have been doing and how each of you have been doing. I hope each of you is doing well. Remember, if you want to do something badly enough, you will find a way. Meow meow (That's for Xander.)

I am a 68 year old man who is trying to start a book club. I also don't see why we don't have men starting them, and I have 4 men and 4 women who will join. I think we will primarily use zoom, but will also have some irl. Thanks for the good tips. How long should we wait between meetings ?

Here’s a strategy: be a kenku (MMotM) warlock (not volo’s, volo’s Kenkus are terrible). Convince someone else in your party to be a Changeling. Go pact of the chain and pick voice of the chain master. Pick a familiar that can remain invisible then have it always sit on the changeling’s shoulder. Have the Changeling take the actor feat. Now you have a combo that can copy anyone’s voice and transform into them perfectly (ie you made the DnD equivalent of a ditto). Enjoy!
