First, I want to say that I've been a huge Decemberists fan for almost 20 years. I've probably listened to the original version of this song 100 times. This is one of the best covers I've ever heard of any song. The syncopation and tempo fluctuations you added were great. Also, the emotions you added to the lyrics were absolutely on point. Really, really impressive, dude!

Covers of this song have typically been a disappointment; your version is a pleasant exception. Great job on this... and exceptional job jumping up into falsetto! If SPJ ever sees this, I suspect they'll approve. 🙂
