The cognitive dissonance of these people enjoying their privileged bubble on a horribly impoverished country that was for the most part made that way by the United States and France makes me physically ill. You can tip well to the people working at the resort but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re giving your money to yet another foreign company exploiting the rock bottom cheap labor and rampant corruption in that country. Locals are not even allowed to enter the resort to prevent making the foreign tourists feel unsafe. It’s honestly kind of disgusting.

There are many artificial reefs for snorkels , fishing , diving. Look up South Walton Artificial Reefs There is even an underwater art museum you can dive on. 😮

It rains every time we camp there. By now I'm sure you know that campers can pay at the campground store to use the tram to get back. It was only $10 each for campers, but now its $20+ or something like that. And yes, the parking lot can fill up in minutes on a summer weekend.

Great video. I have been going to these springs all my life and a few hidden one as well and I am always amazed at the beauty. I have also swam in the brown water in a cypress lake most of my life and never had a problem with gators. The brown comes from the tannins in the cypress trees.

We live 2 hrs north of grayton, my grandparents had a place on Santa Rosa beach. I remember when there wasn’t anything on that beach! It has grown so much! Grayton is our new favorite place, we are going this coming Wednesday!!

Thank you so much! We stayed at Carr's Cottages in Gatlinburg. It's just outside of the main strip, but still within a good 1-ish mile walk. We liked the uniqueness of each room, and the peacefulness of being next to the creek. Thinking about visiting Gatlinburg? It's a lot of fun!

Yes... All of Florida gets severe weather. There's possible hurricanes from June through November, and then we often have daily thunderstorms through the summer, which can have some wicked lightning! (I think Florida is still the lightning capital of the U.S.) But we once saw a water funnel coming at us on Christmas day, so winter's not off limits either.

First time i moved to Florida and spent time on the beach i saw a dorsal fin sticking out off the water and before i could yell SHARK!! I realised it was a dolphin. Those things are an awesome sight to behold

Haha, at the 7:10 min mark you talk about how there's definitely gators in the green puddle.... and you are so right! Last weekend I swung by the state park with my mom and saw a mama gator and her 10-15 babies in that green little swamp pond off the side of the trail. It was awesome! Great video!

Yes, so sad! While the area will never be exactly the same, we hope the rebuilding process will bring it back to the sweet town we knew! Hi! The state park website still talks about swimming being allowed in the park's swimming area. Are you possibly referring to the Wekiwa run or river? Those areas are off limits to swimming.

Hi! We've seen lots of families visit the Gaylord Palms hotel in Orlando. The main attraction is probably the waterpark area, which has a great splash area for kids and activities like movie night in the pool. Around the holidays, they also have great activities for children and families, like decorating gingerbread houses. We've actually done that and had a blast!

Wow! That would be a really hard one since there are so many nice places to enjoy and camp. We really love Fort Clinch, Sebastian Inlet, and really any of the ones up in the panhandle of Florida. Actually, we were very happy to stay around the resort with the other cruisers! At the time we went, and probably even now, Haiti was on the "do not go there" list of countries due to civil unrest and violence. The port was simply the resort in Haiti, with no option to visit the "local" part of the area.

My parents were both from there. As a kid, my dad lived in a house that was right at the. Entrance. Lots of good memories there growing up. My dad had hundreds of arrowheads he collected from the bluff as a child.my wife n kids are going there this comming sat. My dad’s buried up off Rt.1 n my mom lives over in Harrisburg
