Excellent video! Thank you for not editing out parts when horse isn’t doing what you asked.(lopes when you want long trot) This is exactly what’s going to happen when trying this exercise for the first time. You showed what to do and how to get what you’re asking for! Thank you! 4:21

The saddle is a bit of a joke because it’s a how to video… and I figured people wouldn’t want to watch something I could half way show and explain and not waste their time watching. 😊

"cut your strings"?
@brandilyons35744 ай бұрын
The hay bale is held together by strings. These bales have three strings… you can see them on the hay. It’s called baling twine.

I agree. But in this case we were at a new location and he didn’t like the “smell” of it and he didn’t need to drink a lot but we needed to get a little in him. And this is a tricky way ;)

Roughly how long does this usually take to teach a horse?
@brandilyons357410 жыл бұрын
It depends on how soft and good you have your horse at disengaging his hindquarters. If you have to do all of it then it should take you a good hour the first time and then over two weeks 20 min of each ride (6 rides) of "playing" with it and then you should be pretty good at it. If you send a video to me I can help you tell you better how long and where you are at in the process :) You can send it to my facebook page which is Brandi Lyons Horse Training or my group page is Brandi Lyons No Limits Group or email to me at [email protected]:) After you get it without distraction then you add distraction like doing it on a tarp or on a bridge or in a hula hoop... that becomes fun ;)
@withatwist100010 жыл бұрын
Brandi Lyons Ok thanks! I will definitely send you a video! :)
