Had a local Round 1 that had their 3S Cab running 3outta5 Rounds and it was kinda cool. But i do 100% agree that it does change the Meta quite a bit with how meter carries over and its dependency. 3outta5 Match format in games like Tekken and VF work because of how quickly rounds end due to high damage and in VF's case, Ring Outs also. Great interview. Shout outs to Neem. He was my 2nd opponent at the Jazzy Auto Qualifier tourney in Tempe. Congrats on taking the whole event.

There is a blessing and curse to Underground Arcades ( House Scenes ) , and the blessing is that being so low key and not catering to the general public , you are at the essence of everything people loved about the Arcade without any of the bullshit . You form actual communities because people generally at these house/garage/loft/warehouse spaces either have to pass a vibe check first , or be brought out by someone who is already in and can vouch for you . Letting a bunch of strangers into your space for some is not an easy thing to do , moreso if connected to where you live . The only downside is not being able to have a public address , so it's not as easily to find . You do have to be looking for places to find it . But this dedication is maybe not such a bad thing , but yet another filter . Though the great thing about setting up an Underground Arcade in a public space , is that you do extend a hand above ground to grab someone who might be looking for exactly what you have to offer . That is why we're in the process of moving to a public location , yet remaining " semi-private " . Listed address publicly , but not advertised publicly . ✌😺

Thank you Mutant for having Cedric on. Cedric and Johnny are truly some of the hardest working people in DFW and are a massive part of our community. We are lucky to have Artcade!
