Unscrew the table lift and there is a small lid that is stuck down with sealant. I did ask Sedna and they sent me a reply. There are two sets of 4 pulley blocks and the knot end of the keel rope is low down. You need someone with a small long arm to reach down and untie the knot. I have pictures that I can send you. Email me [email protected]

Hi, We have the 26ft. Really enjoy it but need to replace the rope for the lifting keel. Do you know if there is a hatch to be found under the table that will access the keel? We lifted her but as there are a couple of pulleys not just a direct attachment to the keel, replacement of the rope cannot be done underneath. Trying not to pull the table apart if its not required. I have emailed Sedna twice but am having no response.

Nice sail. This First 24 could use some TLC, but they're nice and good boats nevertheless! The video description straight from ChatGPT (or alike) wasn't really necessary though :)

Nice boat. Have the same one, bought in 2021 directly from the polish shipyard. Do you also have the raymarine bidata i40? Does yours show depth?

Hello, it's great to hear from someone who has a Sedna 24. I've been hoping another owner will get in touch. Yes, I think it's a really practical boat. I don't have the i40, instead, I have a Nasa Clipper 2.0 wireless wind, Nasa Clipper depth and GPSMAP® 723 with Chirp Sonar. The NASA Clipper Wind is connected to the chart plotter, so we have the more advanced wind displays which record the wind speed history and the Beaufort wind strength and the apparent wind. I have also fitted a Raymarine Tillerpilot ST1000, which is also connected to the chart plotter and will steer to the set course. Last weekend, we fitted a Webasto diesel air heater in the portside locker, so we now have heating. To power all the extra systems, we have a LiFos 65amp lithium battery, an 80-watt solar panel and a Rutland 504 wind generator. Where do you keep your Sedna 24?

Hi, sorry for the late answer. Our boat is now in a barn in the near of nuernberg. In some weeks we will bring it back to Lake Constance (Bodensee) where we have a Berth in Lindau. We equipped our boat with a Haswing Ultra 3.0 electric outboard engine, a DIY 260 ah LiFePo4-Pack and an additional CodeZero-Sail. I have some more questions to you: 1. Do you bought the anti-fouling coating together with the boat directly form the wharf? If yes, do you know what kind of AF it is? Self-polish, Hardcoat, PTFE.....? We want to apply a new AF-Coating and wants to know it it sticks on the old factory-coating. 2. The Swing-keel, a stainless Steel Sword isn´t fixed proper and have some laterally space. So it makes some noise when the boat is swaying and the keel hits the keelbox. Do you noticed this too? I´m not sure but I think this problem has got over the years even worse. 3. Where do you sail your boat mainly?

Electric outboards are not as powerful as say an Honda 6HP petrol, but they serve a purpose when only electric outboards are permitted. Suggest you go to the epropulsion Facebook group and website for information. www.epropulsion.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2qKmBhCfARIsAFy8buKI1VC1hgsBJeBWt3kdSP_JO6y7c5Od6X5mwO1yNZLn4k4wJG3MRmwaAhrbEALw_wcB

I can recommend the HASWING ULTIMA 3.0 with 900 Wh battery. It works well and its much cheaper then epropulsion or torqueedo. The Sedna 24 runs at full throttle nearly 3 knots for an half hour with it. Or 2 knots for one hour. Or 1 for four hours and so on...

I’m sailing in the Solent for one week this week. Tonight is our third night living onboard. The yacht has a 200cm x 140cm bed in the bow but narrows ideal for one adult. There is small children double on the port side next to the lounge table and a single child on the starboard side lounge seat. It has a fridge and 2 burner gas job, sink and cold water tap, which is on a 12v sea flow water pressure system. In the starboard side there is the enclosed heads (toilet) mirror window light a sink and a chemical toilet. Behind the steps and below the deck is a 220cm x 100cm double bed.

Thank you for a great video. I was asking myself the same question thinking if it would make for a good auxiliary on a 24ft boat :) How did it perform in less windy conditions? "The Sailing Frenchman" had a review and said that in normal conditions full throttle or half made little speed difference due to low pitch (I think he made 3knots half and full throttle at 40% battery). Would be interested to hear what you think. :)

Without the sails up the mast, motoring into the a 10-15knot breeze at full throttle speed was 3.2 knots. On a flat mirror lake no wind, with the sails up the mast at all at full throttle 7 knots was achieved.

Seems over made. The Bethwaite Key-ball setup uses a plastic ball (commonly found in any marine store) and a bit of stainless cable between ball and the adjustment line. Very light and plenty strong. Used it for years on Tornado class.

I remember sailing one of these with two teenaged friends on the Gare Loch in Scotland, Anthony Venelle and Hamish Cameron. I was about seventeen, so it must have been 1968. Anthony had managed to borrow it from Peter Milne, I think. It was a wild, wild sail! Happy days. Makes my hair stand up to think about it, even now!

Yes, I do sail in 15 - 25 knots, at 6ft 7" 119kgs its an advantage over the deck sweep foilers who usually "drink tea" when its >20knots. What's the benefit of removing the rudder winglets. Are they there to prevent bow diving?

Great vid, however the problem i see is the foil location does not really help with roll, too much emphasis on human weight (ballast) and sail control to maintain level foiling......i would imagine this foil setup in the video is like trying to walk a tight rope, whilst someone is constantly shaking the rope. why not have canted foils either side of the hull, that progressively generate lift the more the boat rolls, that could perhaps help maintain level flight. The T-foil rudder could be used to control for pitch and yaw of the craft. cool idea to foil a skiff though :)
