If you hit the blog button while in your special flying mood, then you can summon spikes from the ground. But that's how they are able to stay in place. And you have to do it right above them

Awww. That is _such_ a bummer of an ending. If _anyone_ in Omen of Sorrow deserves a happy ending (or at least a not-completely-miserable one), it's Adam Frankenstein. 😟 Maybe instead of being so focused on resurrecting his creator, he should have followed in the steps of the original Mary Shelley novel by continuing Victor Frankenstein's research and eventually creating his own Bride, a mate to join him in the otherwise endless loneliness where a spurning human race would consign him.
