I used to go see them at Rick’s … sometimes they played under the band Brown Eyed Pickle Boys or something like that.

Wow ! What a beautiful dedication to one of my favorite Strawbs songs. The two David's are very dear to me....I've been a fan since Sandy 🌹

This song was a staple at all their early shows in Denton and Dallas. This is an early version and is very raw. They're outta sync in some parts and it's a faster tempo than months later when they'd finalized and perfected it. Great clip!
@fueledbylove29 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment and input. Part of the weirdness could be the digital effects that I added to this copy. I fear the original was um. taped over, but it probably wasn't a lot better, just standard VHS recording.
@topjimmyjames337429 күн бұрын
@@fueledbylove Yeah, the video effects are sorta 80's, lol. Even so, the footage you have here is pure gold. This is way, way early Daisy. Few people saw them this early. Flute player all all!
@fueledbylove28 күн бұрын
@@topjimmyjames3374 Glad you enjoyed it.. I am certain the guy playing flute was not part of the band, he just sorta sat in that night and I saw him with some other bands as well back then.

Saw Strawbs at Kidderminster. Frank Freemans Rick so young with very long blond hair. They did the number. There was only about 90 folks attended due to the small venue

IF YOU are one of my Subscribers let me know how you like this new video, if you're not Subscribe Already. Yes, this is an Unedited homevideo, pretty rough and not great quality-wise. But would you believe I used a less than $25 "kids camera"? Actually if I had just avoided the "fake drone" flying about camera shots and held it still -- that would have eliminated the odd out-of-phase sound of the audio. and from a cheap mic I was surprised at the frequency response. not half bad. The light show, now that was something I picked up on Amazon, looks mush better in person. I think it bears a strange resemblance to that twisty icon thing on the LZ Presence album.,, but with LED lights that flash to the music, way cooler.

was it that time, when Monsier Dali came up on stage? "Wakeman pushed Salvador Dalí off the stage as he made a special guest appearance during his piano solo. He wrote, "I didn't know who he was. I thought, 'Silly old sod, coming on the stage waving his stick'." from Wooding, Dan (1979). Rick Wakeman: The Caped Crusader. AND Dave Cousins' autobiography Exorcising Ghosts?
@fueledbylove Жыл бұрын
I am aware of the "Dali" anecdote that but it was not at the Paris Theatre which is in London... that eviction from the stage occurred at the Rock n Roll Circus in Paris. I have to take Rick's side here, That clown Salvador was just downright rude to interrupt the Strawbs even if it was a circus!
