I had a tef20, started well but the old 4cyl 20/35 were never usually too great at starting. Later 3cyl Perkins in the 35 was the best. I now have a fordson super major and super dexta, they both start very quickly, especially the major!

A better test to show off your TEF starting performance is to start ir on a cold frosty morning .

Used to start the farm fergie up in the fold yard on a cold morning and fill the roof space with black smoke, then dash out before it came down and choked me!

erm theres not that many compounds for sale in kit form model works or steam traction world do a 4inch compound steam wagon or a 4inch burrell sing cylinder traction engine both you can ride on the back but the cheapest way would be to build one from scratch or from castings

so where do I start finding one to build as a kit.. i'm after a model which is twin compound like yours. any ideas?
