This broadcasting back in I guess around 1998-2000 in Turkiye was the reason why I became a big fan of TH and fell in love with Angie Pollock. Great song, and a beautiful human being and artist Terry Hall. RIP. Also, guitarist Craig Gannon is a great talented player and artist.

Incredible! Brandon Flowers sang this with great emotion. The band as a whole performs this cover with respect and obvious love of the tune. I love this song and I’m not sure there’s another band more suited to cover it. Made my day Billy!

Ostatnio ciagle slucham tego utworu w roznych wersjach, a kiedy powstal moze go nawet przeoczylem, nie byl tak mocno lansowany jak inne tzw przeboje tamtej epoki. Tu nie ma slabego punktu, moze brakuje tylko poprockowej gitary, solowki. Ta wersja wyjatkowo bogata :):):)

I remember when this song came out. Listening to it was like being on a mild drug. Sometimes I felt like I was about to float away into the atmosphere where those backing vocals were playing. It is a pop masterpiece.

They went through phases with it. Some people in the band hated it because it sounded (in its first rendition) like a washed-up bossa nova song. But some people in the band persisted to get the right sound. And finally it was a million voices, a Rhodes piano and some percussion. And it became the intoxicating masterpiece it is.. For me, the drive for its importance, was the "I'm not in love" contradiction. He's head over heels in love..
