The other day I saw someone talking about buying macbooks with broken screens for incredibly cheap and using it with an external monitor; having found a laptop with a 10th gen i5 processor and 16gb RAM for $120NZD due to a broken screen, I'm realising getting that + one of these secondhand for like $200NZ would give me a pretty solid and portable device for a really low cost. I already have a beefy desktop with a cintiq 16, but I keep finding myself a little drained by sitting at the same desk in my flat for hours and hours. The windows don't open so it gets really hot in the summer too, so I feel like it would be nice to have a portable option I could take outside or to a library or whatever. Do you have any thoughts on how it would perform being the only display for a laptop, in terms of reliability? The only things that worry me are the overheating and potentially short lifespan, since you'd want it to last and work properly if you don't have another display.

I saw other reviews talking about how it overheats. Do you have similar issues with the tablet getting too warm to rest your hand on?

Hey, Would you be able to tell if it works with Linux, and if it needs drivers for PC or works simply as an extended display connected via USB C?

I'm so disappointed soon as I decide to start my own webtoon and show support for this company because they have got nothing but positive reviews an announcement like this gets made... I'm sick of these greedy companies not just software but Hollywood as well they want us to keep renting our entertainment our Hobbies. If the attitude is to give us the middle finger and say that we don't own/ can't keep what we spend our money on then I say F them too! they won't get another red Penny from me just like Adobe I can live without them.

Guys, read the actual post. Perpetual licenses will still be available, but you won't get free updates anymore unless you either buy a new license or rent an update pass. I get that people are upset about it, but there's no way this could have lasted forever, and the software vendor still has to make money, which is impossible if they give everyone free updates for life. At least this way we still have a choice. As long as they don't go full Adobe, I'm good. I wish there was a way to upgrade at a discount, but don't forget that this program goes on sale all the time.
