As a titans fan he stays injured, he isn’t fast we put him as the 1 & 2 and he only has had one good game in two years. He’s a big man but he isn’t going to be in the team after next season is over. He was a 1st round pick and now he’s the 4th and actually maybe the 5th wide out on the team
@dynastyunderdog3 ай бұрын
Unfortunate that injuries seemingly derailed his career early on plus the lack of quality QB play didn’t help. Fear there’s not much room for a bounce back at this point, certainly not in Tennessee at least. Titans are looking up so there’s that! Thanks for tuning in 🙏🙏

I feel like this is an underrated discussion. Is keon coleman really a much better prospect than brenden rice if at all. I think they are both kinda in that same mold of big guy with some traits/flashes in some areas that need to develop in order to become their version of a possible big guy wr2/3. One went top of the 2nd round and the other in the 7th...is kinda mind boggling to me. Coleman's main calling card is couple of highlight catches and while that's nice it doesn't' translate to down to down consistency. I just don't see the traits that make him special; he's not particularly fast or explosive. Nor is he ahead of the curve in nuanced in his route running. His contested catch rate isn't great either but he has some of those nfl leveel leaping grabs on film.
@dynastyunderdog6 ай бұрын
This is a pretty thorough breakdown. Not a ton to disagree with in terms of eval on Keon vs Rice. Unfortunately Keon has a much greater leash given the draft capital. Rice is easy to acquire off waivers and toss on taxi squad so we can still hold out hope given he *can* outshine QJ/Palmer as that’s likely his only competition.

Would love to see a video on trading QBs and how they should be valued. In my experience, the elite wrs that get picked after the first tier of QBs have more trade appeal and value after the startup. Although people may say mahomes is worth 4 or 5 first rounders, very fee people will actually pay that. Ive seen people pay four for jettas tho.

To this point - it’s highlighted in the FR. He’s tenacious…could he develop technique? Do they need him to? We’d like him to offer a more well-rounded skillset for sure but 4th round NFL DC going in the 4th rnd of rookie drafts is just good business!

Really appreciate the sub! Top heavy isn’t a bad thing. Those players offer you an advantage over the field in terms of wins/points above replacement. Cheap depth is key (backup RBs for example to supplement your starting lineup as you build out). Slight tier down options are potentially available to you to add + as well. Our orphan episode with Tommy B has some really interesting orphan strategies that may speak to you with this build (can use them outside of just orphans)

Most TEs offer a low floor anyway, I’m more concerned about the weekly upside he possesses/offers. CMC & Deebo both injury risks & aging for position. If Aiyuk were to leave wheels up but at TE8/9 value Kittle is a smash regardless 🚀

That rounded route is called a “speed out”, where the idea is to roll into the route with your speed, instead of breaking down and coming straight down the line. So you can’t knock him on running the play he was asked

While I think you make a good point overall I don’t think Thrash shows great technique there. Cowings out looks bent but he exhibits great nuance at the top of the route rolling into it using his speed spinning the DB like a top. I don’t think Thrash offers that detail.

WR10! I don’t mind it! This is a really good breakdown. He’s definitely a top 3 route runner in this draft class; beats man and zone consistently, and without being schemed open. Runs routes like a basketball player with counters ready for almost every movement. I can see him as a consistent 800 yard guy in the NFL
