Having the counter with swaxe makes the fight a lot easier, especially since it is swaxe's most powerful move. If you're still having trouble with him, I'd recommend going into the hunt and just dodging his moves instead of being on the offensive. Learn his move set and when you can go in for hits, and depending on what weapon you use, the best time to counter him.

thanks for the advice, but from all the runs I've done so far I haven't seen any health variance. also for some reason scheduling went all whack and this came out after my 6th run which is significantly better. Although, I will try to get an rng elimination mod to see if I can get any better runs!
