I was watching another Mill Creek video the other day and when the train was crossing the high bridge, I said to myself, "You never see any videos of the lumber section." I get on here today and I see this! So cool and yes, the track needs some weeding. Thanks for posting. ✌

Thanks, att just finished fiber to my neighborhood and come tomorrow to install to my home. Your video is helpful even if a few years old. How are you or were you using your WD drive?

The WD was a network drive. Since then it has been retired due to size contraints.

Any chance i can pick your brain on the regulator / pressure end of this? trying to figure out how the pressure regulator gets installed and how much pressure does the 4” piece hold? I can shoot you my number or email if you don’t mind helping me out a little.

I am almost 80 and these old cookie jars with the lids with no seal were the worst cookie jars. The cookies would dry out and get hard in just hours. The lid needs some kind of rubber seal to keep air out. Beautiful lid though.

ONT connects to the PON system in the central office. Its only job is NOT to convert optical to electrical (fiber to copper), its job in the chain is to be a modem. The gateway runs off the ONT. some ONTs are built into the gateway. just an fyi.

Nice video. Explanation was extremely helpful. We just signed up for it. However the person signing us up said that AT and T is asking customers to do their on diy install. I'm not a tech person nor have I done anything like that before. When I said the person I spoke with the previous day just straight up said "no charge installation and we can schedule." This other person assisting us said it's the company policy to encourage diy first. We received the package last Weds. I'd looked at install vids and really decided I didn't want to take this on. My girlfriend was unable to access the account (she's got cell service with them) over the weekend. So I'm going back to talk to them. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?

Serious question, what protects that cable from high winds or a severe storm? Seems kinda flimsy to be hanging freely in the air like that from the telephone pole

@WassellWoodworking 10 ай бұрын
Just like any aerial service. As long as a tree doesn't hit it, it will be fine. Most fiber in my neighborhood is installed this way.

Is it one shot per charge? if not, how many shots per charge?

Yes. Each shot uses up the entire reservoir of air.

Hi, of all the builds I've seen this is by far the best. Trying to copy yours. One question. I'm having trouble trying to find tennis balls that fit in the 2.5 inch pvc, even the dot ones. How much pressure does it take to insert them, roll in or push it in forcefully? Just don't want it to explode in my face. Thanks, Shawn

Very nice video just had the approval that the install is done underground. The AT&T cable box is right access the street of my house. I’m doing the 1,000 package and have been waiting a longtime for this. As a Professional Content creator I cannot wait to use it for my radio host segments, my podcast shows, video editing, & gaming. Great video! You know us geeks we like to have a great understanding first lol 😂

So you have it all in your basement, and network cable in your walls to the other floors for those access points? I'm considering changing from Xfinity cable to AT&T Fiber. I don't think we can run cable through the house, but wonder if they could pull the cable through the areas where the coaxial was and perhaps make the connection in my living room. That or I'd have to put it all in the basement. Do I need a switch? Or can I just use my Linksys wifi router to send the signal?

How good is this company on giving you 40 hours or more if you wanted? If someone's afraid of heights is it wise to do this job? I have gotten better on it but not sure how I can handle 28 ft. Also, are they good on holiday events with Christmas bonus or anything like that? I have no experience but I am quick at figuring stuff out when it comes to cable wiring and computing and whatnot. So as long as it is hands-on training
