correct. she did lip sync at the vmas to a pre recorded track because in that particular performance there was A LOT of dancing as u can see in the performance. many other artists do the same (and did that same night) so not to much on the queen💖.

Alan Parker's "Fame" (1980) was recently inducted into the Library Of Congress in 2024 as "an artistically and culturally important" film. Nominated for six Academy Awards and winner of two Oscars, the core of the film centers around the character of Raul Garcia, a gifted and troubled young Hispanic teenager from the South Bronx ghetto aspiring to be a stand-up comedian, and going into the same downward spiral as his fallen idol Freddie Prinze. It was essentially a fictionalized "roman a clef" portrait of the then-recent Prinze tragedy,, and it remains to this day a relevant and undimmed cautionary tale about Hollywood, the young, and the dark underside of "The American Dream", with a powerful performance at its center (Barry Miller) that garnered the lion's share of the film's critical acclaim.

I just saw this video about Freddie Prinze. From what I can see, Freddie Prinze, Jr seems awkward and uncomfortable . I think he couldn’t wait to return to California, so that he could get away from his mother.

I agree with a lot of what you said. I like few of her songs from Bionic to now but I definitely go back and revisit the stripped album when I’m in a mood for xtina. I personally think she should have done one more album like stripped - that fusion between pop, rock, hiphop, R&B was amazing even though I have heard that she don’t like the pop genre… but one more album before moving on to B2B would probably have had a positive influence in regards of getting more fans and staying “relevant” … …and again with B2B… maybe she should have split the album into 2 albums - a “B2B” and a “circus” - and letting that “era” last longer… that and the lack of promotion for the other albums and missing out on touring has clearly had an effect… But she chose family and not doing all these things in a long time and the last couple of years she has relied on nostalgia… so I do really hope the next album revisit pop and r&b. When that’s being said I still prefer her singing on a stage than todays pop stars lip syncing an entire concert… I cannot get that cringe feeling away when I see artists today… It simply feels like myself years ago with a hairbrush singing to songs and having a concert in a shower.

I think her big mistake was, that she took a too long break between her albums over the years. I believe as an artist it’s not easy to finde the middle. Xtina always kept her privat life and family together and she stayed away from bad influences. That’s the difference between her and Britney. Britney seemed to have friends like Paris Hilton Lindsay Lohan etc but they just wanted a part of her fame. Xtina stayed away from those bad influences. Yes maybe xtina sacrificed a part of her career but she is doing way better than the rest now! She is worth 140 million dollar has many brands on her name and is touring around the world! She has a happy relationship since more than 8 years and is with her kids happy! Btw nowadays artist don’t earn money with selling music anymore those times are over. They earn the big money with touring and advertisement deals. In Europe her fragrance is number 1 best selling fragrance for example…She is an icon and will always be!

I do partly agree but on the other hand I think she and/or her marketing team have not been doing the best job choosing the released singles since the album Bionic. And the promoting itself has been awful since this same period. For the general public I can understand that her changing of styles can be difficult to follow but I believe the fans do like it, because there are not many singers who can pull off almost every single musical genre there is as Christina can. She usually has a few songs on each album that strongly follow the current trends but otherwise she does focus on experimenting something new. For example the singles from Lotus were the same style everyone was doing at the time but due to a very bad promoting, none of them succeeded that well. Your Body and Let There Be Love were strictly following their time and her voice really set these apart from anyone else, but still they did not sell, even her being on The Voice. For some reason general public and the music media lost interest in Christina after the Lady Gaga comparisons during Bionic. The story would be very different though if the lead single of Bionic would've been something else like Prima Donna or Woohoo, or even Monday Morning which was only included in the special edition of the album.

Her catalogue is strong & the Stripped album is so legendary. Her voice is one of a kind & she can sing any genre. She's one of those artists that changes & evolves rather than just recording the same album over & over & being worried about charts. People say she has no musical identity but Madonna who's the greatest pop star ever changed her style & sound constantly which sometimes doesn't always get the best feedback or success. I always am excited to see what she does next.

That is a fair shout about Madonna always reinventing herself, but I suppose in my opinion Madonna’s whole brand is performance, controversy whereas Christina is a top vocalist which is her brand THE VOICE, it’s surprising she didn’t go more of a Celine Dion/ Mariah Carey route where her style was consistent and if there were changes it was a gradual evolution

Well Im a fan of her - went to her concert last year in London and this year in Danmark… and I can be a fan without being fanatic about it… Her stripped album was a masterpiece and B2B showcased her as a huge vocalist. But her voice overshadows a lot and she hasn’t been able to crack the code to what people wants in todays music … which is frustrating and sad at the same time because I prefer talent over hype and todays “mediocre” pop stars that gets legend status for everything else than their voice. Im glad that she won a Latin Grammy last year but I really hope that her next album revisits some stripped vibes or something, because even though she doesn’t like singing pop it is what that got her name in this business…

She is known for her amazing versatility and power, and that was also reflected in her chameleonic image. In Latin America, her 2 Spanish albums won 2 Grammy Latino, specially the vocals in Mi Reflejo album are unforgettable. Finally, her Christmas album is just another prove of her angelical voice. She has made history with her powerhouse voice!

She’s definitely the best vocalist of the group. She’s a B- tier and leigh jade and jesy are all C tiers. On a technical stand point, despite the vocal decline she’s had, she’s still the best vocalist. She has the best head voice of the group, the best belter, and has the best lows. People can never see her be complimented and given her deserved flowers without crying a river over the other members not being called the best as well.
