srry for popping up outta nowhere but like… holy guacamole do most modern sci-fi/alien movies fumble the bag so BADLY!! I have that same anger for the movie Skyline because it had such a unique premise but THE END…. holy crap WHY does it have to end with the protag becoming one of the aliens, gaining sentience and going on a killing spree against the other aliens?? IS THIS SUPPOSE TO BE A FUNNY OR SCARY MOVIE😐 not gonna go on a rant about the alien designs because that’d be way to long to write out…. ANYWAYS this movie is genuinely interesting to me but the END.. like they couldn’t have even gone with a different route to show what it was like living with only mind-controlled people in the world?? why did the aliens let HER go and nobody else? like bro.. is her trauma worse than everyone else’s?? omg……… I’m gonna give myself a migraine if I think about it for too long. I honestly disliked Alien: Covenant for a similar reason because of such missed potential😐 like I’m genuinely upset the neomorphs weren’t in a better movie because I love them MORE than the original xenomorphs.. I could list off a whole bunch of things they shouldn’t have went with but omg this comment already too long.. I’m so srry THANK U FOR READING MY UNHINGED RAMBLES!! I love him but most his films recently are adaptations, like Old and Cabin. The ideas in the adaptations are original though. Look back at the end of Signs for the same framing people are calling new. The DoP did the same in Silence of the Lambs. I love him getting some positivity. And I'd rather here people use clear words than mumble saying norhing.

no it's not. It's a movie that deserves to be seen. The idea is a great one, actually. Also, it has certain shots that look astonishing (there's one in which you see the characters through the ribs of a carcass (not gonna spoil anything more). It really is a very good movie with a shitty ending... cause that's what honestly made it "just" a good movie to me and not a masterpiece. "The visit" is a good movie too btw... not like Old but still a very nice one. sorry if my english isn't that good but it's not my mother language.
