Literally impossible to guard. You as the guard HAVE to get over the screen on Curry and the big HAS to at least hedge some so Curry isn't open. Then after stressing your defense out with that, the screener is KD. This was evil🤣🤣
@LetsWatchtheFilm118 күн бұрын
@@HooksyCollins the ghost screens were just impossible to guard. Couldn’t switch or Kd would just cook the smaller and defender. And a lot of times the defenders wouldn’t properly switch underneath leaving the slip open

They have to be a top 10 duo ever! Don't separate them just how they play in unison. Hardly ever a miscommunication and Jokic has TONS of plays where he doesn't even look at AG. Also AG read and react game off of Jokic is beautiful. Always in position to help each other.
@LetsWatchtheFilm118 күн бұрын
@@HooksyCollins couldn’t have said it any better. Those 2 were the keys to unlocking Kcp and mpj as well because Jokic demands a double team and AG is so athletically gifted and strong to where you can’t be late tagging him or it’s an oop or drop off pass. When teams tag AG at the dunker Jokic uses his Extremely great passing ability to skip it to those shooters
@HooksyCollins8 күн бұрын
@@LetsWatchtheFilm11 Man! Seeing Bruce Brown and now KCP go is going to make things interesting to watch in Denver, Offensively and defensively. I am expecting a way more mature MPJ because they're going to need him to do more on the ball this year. Wonder what kind of actions they'll add to put him in more than jump shot situations...Though to be fair he is a VERY confident shooter so he'll heat check after one made shot😂. You're page will be up there with the Dawkins pages, Thinking Basketball, Maxamillion and others you keep this up. Especially since you isolate the actions that you're highlighting, that's going to separate your page! That CP3 video was f#cking greatness!
@LetsWatchtheFilm118 күн бұрын
Super interesting! I’m hoping to see a lot more Julian Strawther minutes next to mpj because he’s another sharpshooter as well. Just super young and MPJ’s confidence is unmatched 😂 if you go to my TikTok I got a pinned video of him shooting nothing but contested shots and it’s crazy to see honestly lol. Can’t wait to break down their tape as the season goes on

@LetsWatchtheFilm1112 күн бұрын
This offense was so fun to watch. The half court pacing is insane. Constant screening, ball movement, cutting, driving, while having everybody be able to make consistently good reads made this team look unstoppable when they were clicking

@@LetsWatchtheFilm11 truly basketball played the right way. Why more teams don’t try to adopt it is beyond me
@LetsWatchtheFilm1112 күн бұрын
Teams nowadays are only looking for more possessions. They look for the 1st quality 3pt shot and most teams have a mandatory crash from the corner principle to try to get more rebounds. Its the pace and space era through the regular season but playoffs is when more traditional half court ball is played

I was about to say The Nuggets are the only team that runs good offensive sets. Kings offense is pretty good as well but the whole NBA is pretty much PNR and hope😂. Basketball is a team game, I love to watch talented players as much as anyone but there's nothing better than watching a well run and well disciplined offense. With talented players in it lol.
@LetsWatchtheFilm118 күн бұрын
@@HooksyCollins Yeah kings run the Princeton offense which is basically a 4 out 1 in read and react motion offense. Different triggers and wrinkles to work out of. Most teams like okc, gsw, boston for example run 5 out read and react offenses. They try to manipulate 2 on 1 advantages and play out of that but I agree watching teams execute set offense is super fun to watch

contested 2's. What the defense always wants. He was a highly inefficient player
@kirbyaugustine76122 күн бұрын
If think if late in his career Melo would’ve realized and accepted that the only way he could stay in the league was as a role player he’d still be playing today. Once he got to his spots he was damn near automatic and against a 2nd unit he’d have a field day. Melo’s style is so efficient there’s no way he couldn’t still be playing today but I believe he became a victim of his own ego.
@JayFlacko12 күн бұрын
He had his ride in the sun on the blazers after the fallout and I’d almost rather that than slowly being played less and less and just taking the check like Vince and Harlem did no offense to them but melo getting kicked out made us appreciate that return all that much more and made those last 3 seasons special. Seeing him earn his keep back and his respect to the point where he was a solid enough piece to get traded to the lakers and gave them over 10 a night in 20 minutes on solid efficiency and don’t think he himself would wanna go out averaging much less than that or playing nothing but garbage time
