My grandfather (born in southern Colorado) used to sing this song when I was a little boy. He couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, though. 😂

I think you'll find that the Hornpipe composed by J Scott Skinner was actually entitled - Arthur Seat. ... The Reel of the same name ( nearly ) composed by William Marshall, was entitled - Arthur's Seat. 🙂

That dance (oro) originates from Macedonia, including the music which is sung in Macedonian. Very good effort dancing, it shows a lot of practice. Keep it up! 👏

Glad someone is still folk dancing. We used to dance in Berkeley and SF. Now, lots of folks are singing, but very few dancing except Belly dance, Hula but not Balkan. I sing it but no longer can dance, so I teach the songs.

Thanks for this. I teach the song to my singing groups. I think some of them would enjoy the dance. I sure did back in the day.

I fear Alison Lucas is right. But, a step in the right direction, which ought to be applauded?

HI. I'm trying to follow this. Tip: would you put your leader or best dancers towards the camera? I just get confused when a dancer I'm watching is confused.
