DC had everything to succed even though man of steel wasn't that good it stll had an audience it had potential but they decided to ruin everything beyond repair with Batman V Superman

Too bad the storyline sucked

Holy balls this crowd / guy seems soo annoying. “Whaaa? Whaaa? Woooooooo, Whaaa?” Plus it’s funny how this is SDCC and yet not many if any picked up what was happening when he started reading that small bit. Anyone who actually read the comics would know right then and there what was happening instead of having to weight for it to be told to them in form of showing the Batman logo. Imo that’s a great way to show who the people who know the stories are and the people who are casuals and only see the films. Not saying either is bad or one is better then the other just saying it’s kind of funny / cool to have something like this that actually manages to separate who from who knows the material and who doesn’t. Haven’t seen anything else like that. I remember when this first happened and he started reading the quote I knew immediately that he was reading one of the last lines from Bruce in ‘The Dark Knight Returns’. I felt so conflicted tbh cus this was Supes 2nd film and Bats didn’t even have a single film yet and were already doing ‘TDKR’ it felt wayy too soon to be doing that storyline, little did I know it was only going to get worse as they also tried to do “Doomsday” in Superman’s 2nd only film. I felt like Doomsday would have been the best way to close the Trilogy or do him later down the line cus doing him right away somewhat felt like you took away from the character. Braniac should have been the 2nd Villain after Zod with Doomsday following shortly after and then you could have called this the ‘Man of Steel: The Krypton Trilogy’ with having Zod, Braniac & Doomsday all being the villains of the films. That would have been an amazing trilogy. And after part 2 maybe go into Worlds Finest and there introduce some new members that would be the JLA and then go into Doomsday bleeding into Justice League 1.

If only the universe were helmed correctly, we could’ve gotten the solo Ben Affleck Batman

To think, this movie only made a profit of $105 million. It nosedived fast at the box office as word got around it was crap. In comparison, 2022s The Batman made a profit of $177 million.

Batman v Superman, which then later became Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. What should have been a solo Superman sequel turned into a studio cash grab because of the success of The Avengers. And Snyder did nothing to stop it and decided to lean into his Frank Miller fetish.
