hi how are things? I have tried the fan game and the truth is that I liked it a lot, but while I was playing I noticed something interesting and it was in the final section with the quick step when reaching the finish line. I don't know if you could tell me how this is programmed in the unreal engine since I have no idea how to do it for my fan game, if that's not a problem for you please

It's a little complicated, to me at least; I use Dash Engine's spline blueprints along with a "Button Prompt Volume" I have it set up to where when the player enters said volume, it makes the quickstep splines "Search" for the player to snap them onto them in the Level Blueprint, I do the same for the large loop but with a Volume to change the camera instead I basically just copied what was set up in Dash's "New Test Map" kind of a pain to get working but works good when it's figured out!

I made this on Dash Engine, which is a setup made in Unreal Engine 4.27.2 Sorry for not noticing comments, KZbin doesn't tell me

If it's not running well even on lower settings.. It might be a bit much for your current rig. I will be working on more optimization soon-ish!

Yeah.. Originally I tried to port in Modern Green Hill as a test stage. but only ended up importing the first several sections and decided to maker the rest from scratch. Glad I did that though!

This is certainly impressive, and i like that its remixed rather than just a port, however i have couple of little issues, 1. Sonic having his hands not clenched while boosting just looks off, but I’m assuming this is an issue with the engine so its probably fine. 2. The camera looks a bit disorientating while doing homing attacks 3. The lighting is very washed out, and makes the grass almost look like plastic. I know this is an early wip and for that it looks nice. Aside from these its super cool and I’m looking forward to seeing more!
