This cover is brilliant. Vic's version was as harsh as intended. This version is so much gentler and comforting. Yet not less compelling -- just dreamy, like someone who is further down the path.

Probably going to ruffle some feathers here. I love Interpol but Paul Banks is not a great singer. He uses a lot of compression and reverb in the studio. This guy would have out sung him easily. I found these isolated tracks on reddit a long time ago. Tried to search for the original thread now and I couldn't find it. Also can't recall if anything was said about their origins.
