@@SpicyRamen421I don’t “hate” Jig 2, but I can see where he’s coming from. It gets stuck in the head easy, and can get really repetitive and annoying. It’s basically the “Wonderwall” of drumline

Holding sticks for quads we use something called the American grip it’s in between the French (back of hand flat) and dutch( thumb up) grip style where the little crease your thumb and index finger created when gripping a stick is up, so yes the thumb it’s slightly upward facing
