Fantastic sounding kit! The 12” & 15” toms really sing. My only concern would be the long lugs getting bent when gigging. Otherwise, this seems to be a gem of a studio kit. Great story and unique sizes too!

That Bass drum sounds Great. I bought up several leedy and Ludwig's last summer. The feel and projection of the toms... It would be cool to hear that set in a bigger room.. stage . Or move the mic.. really far back.. those drums are capable of getting solid fat medium wet tones..or Bop.. in any style type of Music. What heads are you using?

Man, I wish I remembered but this was years ago and I sold the kit after making the video. Probably coated Ambassadors and Emperors on toms.

Strange. Whenever I try to play this video, the sound is that of a very leaky faucet recorded with a dose of static.

the recording is in mono. What you're hearing is phase cancellation. Try different speakers.

Can you please make a online guide how to make this snare?? I’ve been wanting to start this project, I have a general idea but some pointers would help. Particularly where’d you’d get the shell for if?
@adamkozie9878 Жыл бұрын
The shell was from Keller's eBay store; it's a 6-ply Keller but was called a Magnum or something, much thicker than most of their offerings and I don't think they're generally for sale. Getting the correct hardware and shell would be the hardest part of making a snare like this. The rest is layout and drilling, and wrapping of course. I wrap in a very specific vintage style, and I do plan on making a tutorial about that eventually.
@erraticboss168 Жыл бұрын
@@adamkozie9878 Thanks for the reply! I’m going to be wrapping my round badges red glass glitter once the wrap arrives. I was planning on getting a gretsch matching snare to use as the shell, but those are mahogany poplar shells. Finding a jasper shell will be difficult. Most the hardware I have scoped out but it’s all expensive

How do the prices of these furniture cylinders compare to standard keller drum shells?
@adamkozie98782 жыл бұрын
Honestly I don't know, I acquired a bunch of them in a larger lot of shells that I bought years ago. They're mahogany of some sort, or maybe poplar/mahogany, but they're very hard (compared to for instance luan wood). I wouldn't put sharp 45-degree edges on them, but they work well for anything else.

Is the mustang a versatile guitar ?
@NautilusGoth2 жыл бұрын
well you can play everything on any guitar but it wont sound the same, now about mustang i would say is not really versatile guitar cause you dont have any humbucker or series mode on it and on top of that mustang coils used to have really low anemic output, and even if we talk about tunings, you cant get lower than D standart without having tuning issues, the stock neck on them are always a 9.5 radius 42 mm so its not the ideal for runing on the fretboar and no the best one for bending, other thing about 24 scale is that your higher fret notes are really small and hard to play so in conclusion naaa in my opinion its not a versatile guitar but with all those weakness has a really lighweight body and the good thing about 24 scales is tha chording feels really easy, so maybe for a mostly rythm-riff(nothing to crazy) nonMetal guitarist its actually really good :3 , if you ask me for fender real versatile guitars there are two a Stratocaster SSH and a Telecaster 4 wayswitch( with series mode) you can play pretty much anything on that ones, and i dont own any of them and i really dont like them either but thats how it is
