4:00 it's the exact same experience on button presses and menus selections as we are all accustom to with the Perdix 2, ZERO issues and easy to bump though the options quickly after you have played with the unit at home for ten minutes.

Obviously the diver demonstrating the Nerd II at 1:47 has no idea how to use the included lanyard to secure the $2,000 dive computer to the low pressure hose incase of a mishap! 🫣

The background music makes it hard to focus and understand. The BGM doesn't even match the topic being discussed. What a fail.

Great video, it's been very helpful for us as new divers! Now we feel pretty comfortable handling a drysuit!

We are fairly new divers, (check out our videos!) and we are gravitating towards doing a GUE Fundamentals course. We've even had the privilege of doing a fun dive with a GUE instructor which was a super experience!

With dry gloves, I strongly recommend switching ALL your double-enders over from the tear drop plunger to "Big Grip" plunger tabs, which are SO MUCH EASIER to manipulate. Use the "tear drop' plunger dounble enders for warm(er) water diving with wet gloves that are 5mm or less. Strong work, Mate! WELL DONE!!!

5:17 I think your referencing always keep your doubles isolator valve open. When first using doubles and getting a 32% fill I quickly realized this before leaving my dive shop when I gauged my pressure and noticed I was low. Lessons learned, if diving other than air always analyze and check your pressure always before leaving the shop. 🤙🏼🤿😎 Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

In my Opinion the certification Agencies should teach primary donate and the alternate air source on a necklace for all levels of certification. And teach 6 meter hose use as part of Cave and Wreck diving.

Quite the opposite. I had to use trim pockets on the upper cam band. I dont think that there is a solution for everyone. Each diver had to check individually how to do it, even with standardised gear.

Wow… made me realise I’m NOT dir! Also maybe explains why I’m leaning so far back, once in the harness. I thought it was the Fabers being so short.

GUE making up the most asinine arguments from positions of extreme is just painful to watch. Plan the dive and dive the plan, then bring 2 computers for a deco dive and one computer for a regular rec NDL dive. The computer is going to be infinitely more reliable and have a way closer approximation than your tables. You are literally just trying to keep everyone from computers for the hell of it and for sticking with traditions... Same with forcing nonrechargable backup lights. It is not 1850 or 1970 anymore, wake up.

After my first dive with my fist NERD 2 for sixty minutes at six feet deep working a metal detector and running a search on a lake floor for a lost item of value I have to say I am extremely impressed and happy with my purchase!!! Finally I have all my dive stats avalyaibe at a glance and easy to read without having to stop my work process to check my stats in low viz conditions. The digital compass on my surface swim with my scooter over 500 feet from shore was enhanced as the digital compass was easy to keep my bearing and I happy with that feature as well. I still dive with my Perdix 2 on my wrist as my backup. Both units are sharing my SWIFT wireless tank pressure transmitter and I am backed up with brass and glass on my twin set. It's a sweet configuration if you have a need for it. I would not invest in the NERD 2 unless you have a real need for it obviously. However, I am in a working dive configuration trying to accomplish as much work as safely as possible yet still keeping absolute awareness of my dive stats and times... I love it and I have only used it on one sixty minute dive so far. Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

Keep in mind you can share your Shearwater Swift AI tank transmitters between the Nerd 2 and for example the Perdix 2 arm mounted computer. Making for a seamless opportunity for the diver to always have an active computer within eyesight even during an out air long hose donate exercise. The screens and layout are essentially mirrored between the two models. The round piezo-electric button disc are as easy to operate with a simple pinching motion as those on the Perdix 2 computer. Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter 💪🤿🔥😎

New diver (35 dives) about to buy my first bcd. Have to travel to dive and have narrowed it to down to a backplate and 30-32 lbs wing or the Zeagle Stilleto. Don't foresee tech diving but w will definitely be diving different environment (cold [not dry suit but 7mm], deep blue, wrecks, and warm). The Zeagle Stilleto is backinflate with a 35 lbs U-Shaped wing with both a right and a left kidney dump and inflator hose pull dump. Wandering if this type of U-Shaped set up presents the same disadvantages mentioned in this very informative video. Fyi, local dive shops are recommending I get a good backinflate (as opposed to BP/W) given my diving ambitions and online divers of all level seem to love the Stilleto.

Thank you, very good points. i also found Ankle Weight's hat i can attach to my legs, cause I'm doing video under water and extending my hands adds to moving my center of gravity(weight) to the front, and ending upside down while trying to remain still.
