Thank you for this instructional video I just love this song and always have I wished I could have seen the full guitar and your amp settings. I know you were using a tremolo but it would be nice to know what your equipment was. To me your version was right on I've heard several other versions but yours is absolutely the best and I think most accurate

The original is in-between C and C#, however when Santo and Johnny played it live on the Perry Como show in 1959, they played it in C major. And when they lip synced it on Dick Clark's American Bandstand also in 1959 Johnny is playing it in C major as well. So the song was written and recorded in C Major. 😊
