I like the over-the-pile-of-other-garbage-music- i-shout-Music! kind of feeling. This a random reminder of music's existence in the media that is destroying it. Be it art, be it voiceful silence be it absolutely disposable and unnecessary there's certain something that's holding you captive - I see them reproduce the record so well - do they know that something, is it scripted - or is it just happening randomly each time?

His voice does sound somewhat better on studio versions, but I like his voice the way it is. His slur sounds drunk when he sings a bit slower, and I love it that way.

I agree. Ok, maybe his voice could get annoying if you listened to it for several hours on end. But I like it. And who wants to listen to today's mainstream stuff--those people have no talent! They don't even write their own music. In my opinion, if they get paid, it's because they're embarrassing themselves for our entertainment.

Obviously you're not an indie fan....they're not supposed to sound "normal" like you're probably used to songs sounding like. No, Alec's voice isn't what we perceive as "good", but then again, neither is Bob Dylan, and he is one of the greatest musicians of all time.

Saw them live (actually i was in the stage crew), they sounded like crap, especially the singer was unbelievably bad. This performance is a little better. Still a pretty silly band. However they were cool persons.

almost any band sounds like they ripped off another band. art is progressive, and when you are inspired and so influenced by an artist, it would be really difficult to keep that influence hidden.

He sounds like David Byrne before he hit puberty. No seriously, not a bad band. Just a bit too much like Mr. Byrne.
