to me, Messthetics with a free jazz sax player are the natural continuation of late Fugazi.

Waiting for you guys to come back. I’m 19 so I never got the chance to see you and there’s so many others in my generation who love fugazi!!

This was lovely. Fugazi was such a huge part of my youth. If they were touring again, it would shake the world.

Next to George Hurley from the Minutemen, there is nobody that plays hardcore as funky as Brendan. He is just so buttery and fast without being busy. And im happy to hear that he contributed riffs and song ideas. Thats really cool.

I am so profoundly blessed to have been a part of this scene, to have seen fugazi play out so many times just by virtue of having grown up in the right time and place. my all time favorite band. the margin walker EP is the single most cohesive statement in melodic punk. I align with the politics, the ethic and ethos and the lack of pretense. I’ve met the guys and theyre gentlemen all. Amazing group.

I have been a fan for over 30 years. Fugazi is my favorite band of all time, and its not close. They are musically, ethically, and intellectually my zone, nothing else music-wise means so much to me and so is close to my heart. I am not alone, in fact there are millions of us. Please, we need to see Fugazi again. Please.

Me too! Me too! I saw Minor Threat when I was 13 in a barn in NoVa with a skate ramp in it. That was the start. Then finally caught Fugazi in 92’ in Richmond. Then a few more times over those last few years. Top 3 shows of my life. Would love to see them again. I’d pay more than $5. For sure.

It's one thing to see musicians getting older.....but there's something more unsettling to see punk rock guys age; THIS guy used to go apeshit on stage and create all kinds of anarchy?....he looks like a math teacher😂

I would LIVE to see Fugazi again!!! I saw them in the late 90's at the Metropol in Pittsburgh, a band called Urge Overkill opened for them. Boy was UO heavy. Good stuff all around. Watching this inspired me to order Repeater, so excited!!!

Fucking legend. I would take exception to one thing he says though- he was way more than just a supporting member, he's a hell of a drummer and was integral to the sound and feel of the band.

I love seeing Brendan. I was one of the older crowd who practiced in the Dischord House basement in the early 80s. I’m actually in the photo Jim took. It was a great time to be alive and create something that people still enjoy to this day. Yes, Birthday Girl is incredible. Give em a listen.

He's so modest. Fugazi would be nothing without him and Joe, not just Ian and Guy, who are obviously great performers. Brendan's an absolute legend.

On the morning of January 8, 2011, I had this itch to listen to a song, and I couldn't place it, though I knew it was Fugazi. I searched early KZbin and landed on a 1991 anti gun violence concert in DuPont Circle in 1987. at about 10:05 AM MST the song came came up, Repeater. 100 miles to my SE, at that moment, my friend Congresswoman Gabby Giffords was shot along with 12 others. It took me a few months to make the connection. I am a native of DC, but grew up in Chattanooga. My dad worked for the ARC (Appalachian Regional Commission) on R Street in the 70s.
