I remember being so invested in reading XBlaze Code: Embryo back then after finishing BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma around 2014. To a point I probably reached the 1st Platinum Achievers list on its localized PS3 version. I remember the Vita version was glitched at launch too! This track always gives me a swirl of Sad and Happy emotions when I hear it over my revisits. I still hold this BlazBlue sub-franchise close to my heart to a point I even bought a Nobody and Es scale during each's initial release. Which along with Kokonoe became a big reason I've still to this day been collecting a heavily curated Scale collection since 2015. I adored Es, Akira, Yuki, Ringo, Els, Mei, Kuon, and Acht enough to purchase PSN avatars for them. Something I found cool we got in North America back then during PS3 era.

I like the idea but the whole "NO HAREM NONSENSE!!!!" and "Realism" thing feels so condescending In general this feels like one of those VNs made by people that seem to hate the genre they're writing for, subversion is interesting but not when it's rooted in a general dislike for the topic

Hey there! Appreciate your reply. That line in the Kickstarter is a little misleading. I base the foundation of the story on realism, so I apologize if that came across as condescending. My objective with the story was to flirt around the goal of "finding a girlfriend" so that in theory involves picking and choosing amongst multiple girls. This line emphasizes the fact that each route will be singularly focused and that each girl is exclusive to their own route. Hopefully, this clarifies any confusion there.

I know this is very old, but just in case you're still commentating: I don't think the problem is yelling, it's just that the narration feels "snappy", you have to read the match and know where it's going and build it up... stay ahead of the flow and react to what's happening with a specific narrative. Waiting for Tager to hit a Sparkbolt and then suddenly yelling that it's a comeback wasn't as nice as it could be. Instead if you saw that Tager was getting close to a comeback for a 2-2 and presented it as the current stakes and then cheered when Tager got it, then it would be a hype moment and not "yelling".

6 months late to this comment but keep in mind that this was 5 years ago. I hadn't hit my "get good" phase at this point. I had only been in a few tournaments at this time, and tournament jitters would still hit me super hard. I'm used to playing in bracket now but back during Aniclash 59 and other brackets around that time I was pretty much still green.

Bruh im realizing something. If I ever like a character in a fighting game, they are either a charge character, or a clunky ass grappler lol. In street fighter 3rd strike, I gravitated towards Alex, SFV Balrog, BBCF Kagura and Tager. . . . I can't escape it anymore, I love the high risk high reward

I think it's just that ppl look at the tools and the data of a character and say yea based on that and what we've seen ppl with the character there are top tier

If both players are equal in skill, some characters are just better than others But the presence of a tier list doesn't spell doom for the characters at the bottom, especially in ArcSys games In Xrd Potemkin, widely believed to be worst character in the game, wasn't completely helpless against Johnny, by far the best character in the game
