Have you had any drop outs with Mbps staying up. Looks like link quality was plummeting in your video

No drop outs ever. I have flown down to 1-2 Mbps and never seen this. I have hundreds of hours on my 03 Air Units.

I have the original Avata and do not get this stable of a video. Is the Avata 2 that much better than the Avata?
@pixxair
@pixxair 2 ай бұрын
Are you using GyroFlow or RockSteady for stabilization? As to the camera, the Avata 2 camera has much better dynamic range compared to the Avata.

How hard was it to get the permit to fly around Watson, I know it's within the 5 mile range of the airport. I'd love to get some deep dells flying as I've hiked that entire trail system multiple times.

You only need to download a LAANC app like Air Control and submit for clearance with the app. Take note of the altitude limitations outside of the lake area, which is 400'. No cost.

phew, scary! Don't understand why failsafe kicked in, wasn't the ridge on the right quiet a good distance away (how far above the ground) ?
@pixxair
@pixxair 6 ай бұрын
We were parked in the turnout on the road behind the right ridge so we could have line of sight of the flight. I just descended too fast and got below the ridge slightly and had no chance to power out. I'm too used to Betaflight/ELRS drones with separate control/video frequencies allowing you to power out if video is lost. Oops.. RTH was set for 250', which was probably too low since the mountains were about 400'. Very bizarre behavior from the A2!

Great flying and editing, but I don't think you need HDR unless you want to enhance its already unworldly look.
@pixxair
@pixxair 6 ай бұрын
The Avata 2 has HDR enabled in several different modes, 4K60 16x9 being one of them. In 4K60 4x3 it is not enabled. This was more of a test of the new A2 camera. May be too saturated, but interesting..
@FoolWithACamera0
@FoolWithACamera0 6 ай бұрын
@@pixxair Editing video in the South West often makes me ponder how saturated the colors really were when I shot the videos. The colors and contrast really can be unworldly. Please excuse my comment, but it reflects an internal discussion I often have when doing edits. It is like trying to refrain from using too much salt or sugar. Again, though, beautiful video.

I’ve just ordered the 3.6 Domain myself. Takes a fortnight or so to get here from China but well looking forward to it. I’m sorry if this a stupid question, but as I learnt on Dji FPV and Avata it’s a whole different ballgame. The question is about binding…. I have a 6” Bob57 from iflight. This is my only ‘proper’ Fpv quad. It’s bound to my goggles 2 & Tango 2. Once I bind this Domain, will the Bob57s 03 unit still be ‘remembered’ next time? How is it going back & forth between different 03 unit quads? I’m sorry this sounds dumb, but I’ve only ever had this one fpv quad so after initial binding and set up in Betaflight I’ve not had to worry about anything. I turn my goggles on and the Bob is ready to go. I hope you can make sense of my ramblings. I just want to know what the situation is with having multiple 03 air unit quads and one pair of goggles and radio. Cheers
@pixxair
@pixxair 6 ай бұрын
Sorry, I have ELRS on all of my quads and have no experience with Crossfire. ELRS utilizes a user defined binding phrase for each receiver and it switches seamlessly once applied to each drone. The second 03 air unit will need to be bound once to the goggles and should switch automatically for each drone after that.
