The sole biggest threat to the positive and progressive development of solomon Islands is "CORRUPTION." It has permeated the very fabric of our society, so much so that it has become not only systemic but also systematic The new government that comes in must make it a priority, to fight corruption, to reduce and contain it, if not eliminate it. Fighting corruption must be one of the very first things that the new government should do. Nafu nao for lie long mifala people. So much for lip service. Tumas na. The new legal regime that was put in place by the last two successive governments, which was launched with so much fanfare in early 2020, is nothing but a joke, to say the least. If the latest Disclaimer Audit Report by the AGO is anything to go by, then we are in big trouble. If Vanuatu and PNG could successfully prosecute those thieves, why can't we? I believe we have similar criminal laws that deal with corruption, haven't we? God bless Solomon islands, from shore to shore.
