Special man behind the wicket specially facing the fiery bullets like Denis Lilly, Geoff Thompson,Len Pasco.RIP.Its very sad that we are losing two greats in short time Shane & Rod making a great vacuum in the hearts of many cricket lovers.

Great Idea; you gain so much more by assimilation by being in the audience. Hopefully all the future audio recordings will be as good as the Jones / Bennett conversation; which was brilliant.

Really enjoyed listening to this. It's a funny thing about life. There are many 'truths' like honesty, work ethics, loyalty, that we all might know, but until they are spoken by someone else they don't resonate. What may be true has to be spoken before it becomes truth. It is difficult to believe in yourself until someone else believes in you first. I think both Alan Jones and Wayne Bennett are good men and Australia needs good men perhaps more than we've ever done before.

Hi Rod, what happened to your moustache? You don't really like Rodney Marsh without that. I really enjoyed your style behind the wickets, with Lillie and Thompson bowling

@saleemkirmani55832 жыл бұрын
I saw him live on TV against Pak vs Aus in 1972-73, 1976-77, and 1983-84. He was such an explosive and brilliant batsman, just as good as any specialist. Lillie caught Marsh was just a fantastic sight to behold.

I like listening to Rod Marsh. Always sensible, no hyperbole and a great judge He would have made a much better captain than Kim Hughes.

he didn't make much of a vice captain, that we do know

Anyone who didn't bawl like a sook would've made a much better captain than Kim Hughes. He lacked the mental toughness that is required for the job.
