How much bourbon was that? Also have you tried using different sugars like Demerara?

I seriously love it when producers put words like "finest" on their product. We hope so buddy, otherwise you shouldn't be selling it.

I do not like sweets so I might try coconut milk and not sweetened condensed milk. I know, but I worked at the dairy where they bottled Baleys flavored coffee creamers and they gave it away, all flavors. I hated them all. I also hate fufu flavored coffee that everyone pays $7.00 for a small. Yuk.😆

I wonder if this would be any good using Jack Daniels Honey whisky. I have a bottle that i need to use up as I don't care for it other than as an ingredient in confections. Also, I could swear that I saw Baileys commercials here in the States back in the late 60's. I guess I was wrong. But then, as I'm thinking back, I guess what I remember was Harvey's Bristol Cream Sherry.

I live in Thailand and I use a brand of Thai Whiskey called Hong Thong. A bottle of this stuff is really cheap and is perfect for making Irish cream liqueur, although there is nothing Irish about it. Providing you don't stray too far from the core ingredients you will find that there are many slightly different ways to make this drink with different flavours. I have tried maple syrup, mint, orange and original and all were good.

I really want to try this, mostly because it seems to be a very nice middle ground between the regular Maker’s Mark and the Cask Strength. I’ve had both of those, and I like them a lot. The Maker’s 46 is too sweet for me, and the Cask Strength was fabulous but because the one I had was 108 proof it hit me like a freight train. The regular Maker’s is something that anyone can find anywhere at any time for any occasion, but for something more unique that’s not too sweet or too hot the 101 is definitely something I am wanting to try.

Looking for some recipes i did some math here. Assuming 50ml eggs and 710ml sugar being 604g, this should be somewhere between 8 and 9 brix in the End. So the full recipe should net ~6700ml (since sugar does not just add its volume). With Golden Devil and S&C being at 57% and the sherry having 18.5% alcohol the result should be at only 8.5% abv. I would maybe put in a bit more alcohol. From what i read it should be sterile somewhere between 14% and 20% abv.

Decided to try this with Cynar. 1 smallish lime, no sugar (Cynar plenty sweet). Delicious. This probably works with many amari. Super easy, low ABV.

You can save yourself the trouble of removing the Fat Cap by storing the mason jar upside-down in the freezer. The fat content will be left at the bottom of the mason jar, and your fat-washed booze will be easy to extract. I am in the process of making these right now. Thanks for the video!

His version 2.0 on his website is my go to mix that everyone seems to love. Its a riff on a bloody caeser but i just leave out the clam juice if necessary. He just came out with a "reloaded" recipe too thays more simplistic, a riff on a bloody bull i believe, but uses a lemon and horseradish infused vodka. Check them out
