Why used E=h cut sqxksq/2m....because this is for free electron not the bounded electron having PE +KE

Beautiful explanation, sir. But i have a question: You have shown in a lucid manner that the electric field just outside the patch due to the rest of the conductor is charge density divided by 2 times epsilon nought. And the same is true on the side of the patch facing the inside of the conductor (or as you say the bulk of the conductor). But it does not follow that the electric field is constant throughout the patch and equal to the same value. So you cannot multiply the charge on the patch with this value of electric field without proving first that everywhere within the patch the field is constant and equal to the value sigma/2*epsilon-nought.

Good and detailed derivation (thanks!), but you should visually explain, on paper, many of the trigonometric angle properties you quickly do in your head. Very confusing to the 1st time learner wondering how they were derived. E.g., "the lower limit of delta is alpha and the upper one is theta"? or "for infinite wire length L, angle alpha = angle beta" ... Not obvious unless shown on paper. I may know how this came about, but it wasn't that obvious to me anyways.
