I love Nanci Griffith - what a sweet soul she was with such a lovely, lilting voice.

Awesome. My favorite performance, butI don't think Nanci Griffith would be wearing a pin with Pres. Lyndon Johnson's photo in the 1990s.

As a life long liberal and Texan, she often wore her "All the Way with LBJ" pin when performing.

Such a very special performance. Hard to believe that it's 3 years since Nanci passed away. Taken way too soon.

Hello Eng. George, Good afternoon, have a question about converting 2-d to 3-d HV SS's, where i can find the blocks of the Equipment's inside the SS, at present am trying to design Lightning system for HV SS, and i know it will be better that i convert the SS to 3d model, i've 2-d model. i saw your videos about lightning design using the 2 methods: Fixed angle & Rolling sphere, they're awesome videos and want to gain from your experience in this. Thanks.

I learned recently Alex passed away.33 year old Tennessee American and I knew his voice close to heart as a teen and inspired me to want to play&sing in his style after hearing his takes on Flower of Scotland and The 40 Twa.Unfortunately,an injury stopped that from happening.I hope his glorious soul found his way home in the end though.May his enchanting voice forever ring through the hills of his homeland.🕊⛰🏰

The musicianship is very good, but the tempo is too lively for a song that's about hopelessness and sorrow.

I grew up listening to Nanci Griffith, my dad was a huge fan. I just recently found out the she passed away. I have always loved her music. And now that both my parents have passed about a yr & a 1/2 ago, her music holds a special place in my heart & I find myself listening to her all the time now...taking me back to all those times listening when I was kid. Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with us Nanci & I know that you are singing with the angels.

I’m sorry to have gone so many years without ever having heard of nor anything performed by Alex Beaton until 2022-23, when I ‘discovered’ his music on KZbin. He’s the Best Scottish balladeer for English-speaking, American audiences/listeners I’ve come across to date. If there are any who’re as good, I haven’t heard them yet. The High Kings & the Celtic Thunder ensembles come to mind, certainly, but they are groups of relative youngsters & have received plenty of publicity (relatively). So have others not mentioned, but Alex Benton’s versions of traditional Celtic music have educated me, considerably. I read an account of how only Alex’s own “high endeavors” landed him the stages, the promotions, the bookings that he eventually received in his lifetime, including those he appeared-at in Georgia (concept), my own “home” state. That makes him even more remarkable as a musician and a business-savvy veteran. Though the chance to meet him personally is lost, I wish his family well. And Scotia, too, because of the goodwill engendered by his recorded music. Blessings & comfort to the bereaved. 🌷🍀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚔️

Beautiful rendition of a lovely song, and made more poignant by Nanci Griffith's untimely passing. As a side note, I wonder if I'm the only one who's noticed that this melody is the same as that of "The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond"... oh well, it's all in the Celtic Family. 😉
