This mold is very difficult to get to pour complete lures out of. Sent a message to Doit hoping for some tips and help in getting this mold to have complete pours.

First time maker here. Do you need to bake jigs after the powder coat?
@lanceaineyfishing7 күн бұрын
Technically, no you do not NEED to. Pro Tec states this on their jar. However, curing it will make it stronger and more chip resistant. Most jigs on the market are just painted and will chip easily as it is. I personally do not bake mine because I don't have a place to safely bake them.

Just purchased one of these molds. ( like I really needed another do it mold. Have 100+ of your products) Hoping the king salmon will like them this fall.

I've started painting my jig heads with PRO-TEC POWDER PAINT, do I have to stick the jigs in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or can I just coat them with CS SEAL COAT instead of the oven?

What I like about this is you can make it as detailed as you want or as basic as you want. Seems like some are into functional and others art.

got to say i brought everything new clean pot and 10 lb of their lead everything was smooth for a good 20 min and then clog like crazy on the bottom pour I scoop out a good 2+ lb of unpure lead it's not as pure as they claim to be :(

I wonder if you can do something similar to a mold that replicates the Gilly, like a white body redhead. Also, could a similar process be done with pour molds?

Let’s say that we have to reheat, any reason why you don’t have to reheat it up to 350 again?

Check out the flutter jigs I did. 🍻

I think it 50/50 then dip it. Never have anything drippings sagging. I stab my jigs into a cardboard ring so if there's any dripping it drips straight down off the eye. Once dried, one simple twist of a toenail clipper around the eye clears of all extra paint. Nice clean professional look.

Do you cure it in an oven?
@eduffy49373 ай бұрын
@@Gittinjiggy01 I personally do, buy I do it in a toaster oven outside. It really stinks a place up fast if done indoors. I far prefer any of the powder paintsfor any tackle that be heated before and after painting

@claiborneeastjr41298 ай бұрын
To clean a plugged spout, I use a nail that just barely fits snugly, held by a pair of pliers. I always try to use clean alloys, so this doesn't happen very often.

I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a kzbin.infoUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.
