I like the music from Marty but wish it would take him 30 seconds to answer a question not 5 minutes. Larry Gatlin is the same.

So, I'm a Civil War reenactor out West... And I swear to God one of these guy was my battalion commander about 10 years ago! 😁🤣😂 OK, jokes aside, this song hit just before I really got into music. But I remember my mom using it as an example of real songwriting rather than just simple hit-making. She used Bill Withers that way too. Because of that, I grew up really picky about who I'm a fan of in music and I've always been grateful for that lesson.

I got to see the 3of them once. In Wichita Kansas. At a fundraiser for the police. I really didn’t know what to expect. This was the late 70’s Iwas 25. The opening of the show was just a spotlight on a standup microphone. And these guys playing in the darkened background. Beautiful tribute to their boss and friend. Glad I bought the “souvenir “ album..😅

This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard about our country! I've been north south east and west. And this is the place I call home. We were blessed and "We respect the men and women that died for this land". And our president Donald J.Trump VP J. D.Vance Will make America great again! The people have spoken ! See the fun you have when you subscribe here. These videos, sound and picture, are the best I've ever seen on my computer screen. You too? A propos nothing but my first "reply" a moment ago to a different video from these same wonderful folks. God bless and keep you all! See below for Patsy Cline's steel guitar hero.

Call it my musical guardian angel (I'm certain he can carry a tune) …. My musical father, who had composed about 400 songs, had a stroke that left him unable to play anything on the precious Steinway in his living room. When I visited, he went over the the piano for the first time since my Mom had died, two years earlier. Tentatively, and with my prompting - humming tunes, singing lyrics - he gingerly attempted his own songs, and standards he and Mom had loved since their teenage years - and through 60 years of marriage. Nothing. Dad couldn't put two notes together. But then, suddenly, a lovely “beginner's lesson” version of EMBRACEABLE YOU. Their favorite Gershwin tune. After getting through one chorus without a mistake, Dad played like his old self. Gorgeous chords, the second time around. Thought of this when someone (Alan Jackson?) sent me this. The steel guitar virtuoso who played this intro to Patsy Cline's Walking After Midnight. “After I had a stroke . . . "

Such a lovely performance of Merle Haggard’s poignant song of life. The Harmony of the Isaac’s is impeccable. I’m sure Merle smiles down on their cover of his song. Always wonderful to see the familiar faces of the Country’s Family Reunion stage band. I own & cherish at least 2 sets of CFR’s recorded shows. Thanks for keeping alive all that is traditional country music!
