Nice tutorial! Thanks, do you have one on how make the same sound to fade out smoothly?
@medialcore19 күн бұрын
Sound area is a real big part of game development and there are many advanced new features in 5.5. Perhaps there are fade out sound nodes in the sound/music editor. You should try to watch one of this tutorials where they explain how to create sound cues and in this editor there they have almost all. Ofc there is also the approach just make a timeline which will change the volume of the sound/music over time to lower so that you have the fade out effect. If you want understadn more about sound/music try the cue tutorials where they build the nodes if you want just make a fast fade out effect without understanding anything just make the timeline lower volume over time.

@@medialcore Hey Thanks for the answer! Yes I figured out replacing the Stop node with a Fade Out node, the trick was to pull it out from the reference of the sound.

My game space is static and nothing much has to move. Everything is designed in SketchUp19. I don't have need for people jumping around. In my game people will walk around at normal speed. I imported my model as fbx via Twinmotion. I am a autodidact beginner 55+ ex 3D architectural design.

Hallo. Very good presentation. I am a beginner I have a large imported model. Like a city block you 18 levels. It's the first time I managed to import it all in one go. Is there a solution to make an horizontal and vertical faces not to be able to walk out fall through. Is like a real kind of Las Vegas environment. Is there a formula to make all horizontals and verticals the same way? Or do I need to select all the walls and floors one by one and apply collisions. Most of my faces are flat just with textures? Thanks Danke.

This video is 5.0 and we are 5.5 now. So perhaps there are much better features now. I think auto collision works all time but you should profile it for performance. And if it is not working well just use manuel creation. But perhaps there are new features in 5.5 which makes this easier.

Check the button logic. Check if the logic is right and opens what you want. Check if it reacts on click events.

I think blue print shouldn’t be called more powerful then python just because it’s got more visual pleasure aka an eye candy interface. It’s just different languages python could be considered or ashamed to more complex because of how intricate it can be sure Blue print would be great for beginners Then you move up to python

Get all actors with tag looks like a bad practice from performance point ... because on background it will check all actors in game and select one who has this specific tag oO.

Have not test it. But check all time in the details panal of the component the shadow setting. Check lightning settings of the map and also check the general game settings or editor settings with lighning and shadow.

Ayyyyy! You saved my life! I was sitting here trying to get all actors and add them to an array and then getting a copy of that array and it was just getting messy. I just got their tag array, used the "make literal name" and added whatever tag I wanted to have to be ignored by the trace, and added that to any blueprint on the object I wanted to spawn. Life saver thanks! Videos like this are important for the internet!

Instead of being assholes bout it, why not ask him why he posted the video if u don’t agree with it? If u google static mesh editing, it still shows that article for the UE4 editing method which doesn’t exist anymore so to any beginner starting out with the latest edition UE5, they would have no clue the modeling feature even exists without someone like him so try and see it that way. Hell, if sum of y’all were so great then u wouldn’t b here looking up tutorials 🙄

This was a very good overview of blueprint debugging. I’ve watched other ones. I‘m in a situation in the first time, that there isn’t way around not using debugging. With widget blueprints it’s pretty much the same way, isn’t it?
@medialcore Жыл бұрын
Debugging is important in general. Every project have bugs which you have to find. So you are in the right way to learn debugging. In UE5 its not all time the same debugging tool. I mean yes debugging is doing pretty much all time the same thing but the tools which are used are different. Read debugging in UE5 section to see the different categries to get an overview. And then when you make a special area debugging you can read exactly how they debug in this area. Good luck.

And what if I want to keep the river but solve the color problem from pink-white to green?
@medialcore Жыл бұрын
Hi, perhaps you need to tweak the materials of the river or you find another river material online which has a better performance. On the other side this game is not overloaded with much actions at the same time which means even if its pink-white it will probably not have a huge impact on pc versions.
@Dieucreateuruniversel11 ай бұрын
The red colors indicate a number of instruction per shader/texture, so if you wanna let this light turn on the green side you need to simplify texture/shader, generalie movement in texture cost some ressources, reflection etc..., do some sacrifice on their quality or select only some of them, you just have to make a choice.
